Religion and Obsession

Among my acquaintances are people who devote themselves to religion. It seems to occupy their thoughts all or most of the time. Does that fit the definition of obsession? Obsession defined: "��the domination of one's thoughts or feelings by a persistent idea, image, desire, etc. "[From] psychiatry: a persistent idea or impulse that continually forces its way into consciousness, often associated with anxiety and mental illness "��a persistent preoccupation, idea, or feeling." http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/OBSESSION?fromRef=true Hmm, this definition and these symptoms also seem to fit perfectly with people who have full time jobs- occupies most of their thoughts- causes stress and anxiety. I suppose that means about 93% of Americans are obsessed then eh? Just think, they're focused on some form of labor for *8* hours a day or more. Talk about unhealthy. Possibly the result of a life that overemphasizes the importance of consumerism. Who knows. xD |

Aw, thanks star! =) And the rest of you too. I think our united hope for Christmas magic may yet come true, much to my surprise. She said she likes me :3 I'd be lying if I said the feeling wasn't profoundly mutual. Oh Missy, you wanted results, lol. Okay- 1. We're on date three tomorrow. 2. She likes my lips and my nose she says, lol. I didn't know how to react to that so I just blushed and twiddled away. 3. As previously mentioned, she admitted she likes me. 4. Her pattern of writing and talking, as well as facial expressions and body language, suggest a desire for, if nothing else, continued friendship and asks the question of permanence. It's really exciting. 5. Hugs are tantalizing. I can't tell you how weirdly awesome it is to hug someone you find attractive and is nearly level with you when no one else you've dated has been that way. 6. <<<<Totally twitterpated. 7. In spite of her shyness, she visited my friends with me and passed with overwhelming support from a group of people who usually don't approve of my dating choices, lol. |

The weight isn't as important but I'm 6 ft tall so I do prefer someone taller but seems like everyone my age is a lot shorte Same boat here. I'm 6'6'' and so it's a pleasant surprise when I'm dating someone who can see eye to eye (bahahaha, so punnnyyy....not..). The other night I went on a date with someone six feet tall. Now I'm not so sure I'll be able to go back to dating normal people. xD |
