Thank you, thank you. I would like to add, I am not conservative nor liberal. I believe both sides have valid points and principles.

I am very involved with many of the issues we all face in our community. I fully support our civil rights and freedoms. I am also supportive of helping our homeless and veterans. I feel as a community that we have failed these people. I do wish to make known though, that I do firmly believe that you cannot help those who don't want to be helped.

I also don't believe in giving money to people soliciting on the street corners. I have been known to invite them to meet me at a nearby food establishment and buy them a meal. I have also been involved in the donation and distribution of blankets and clothing to the homeless in my city. We have passed out blankets, socks, knit caps, and gloves to provide some comfort for the harsh winter weather. I encourage others to do the same. We are all humans, and should look out for each other as family. Everyone goes through hard times, and a simple act of kindness can be the difference between life and death, even if nothing more than to listen and let others know that we care.

It's a dating site. I'm not desperate to meet anyone. It would be nice to interact with others, but if not, I'm still going to live another day.

It seems like profiles don't get read anyhow by most of the people on here, so it really doesn't matter. What it does do for me is helps me decide which people I choose to interact with much easier. If I start messaging with someone and they start asking me about the same information that I have already posted, I know I'm wasting my time and effort even conversing with them. If there isn't even enough interest to take the time to look at a profile, I'm not going to waste my time either.

Just pass on and save both of us the time and effort.

Activity partner is just exactly that. Someone to share activities with that you would otherwise be doing alone. Fishing, hiking, going to movies, dining, visiting the zoo, casinos, all that kind of stuff. That's some really messed up thinking to read anything more into it.

Would like to meet locals interested in activities like dining, sightseeing, geocaching, and metal detecting. Not so much for dates, as for exercise and to get me out of the house.

If you're interested in metal detecting, I do have several detectors that I own, so you don't have to have your own.

Geocaching is an online gps based hide and seek game. It has both free and paid memberships. The only things needed to participate is a gps capable smart phone, and transportation to the locations of the posted caches.

Hi, I have repeatedly been receiving contacts from people listing my home city or area as their location. Once I respond to their message, during our conversation I'm told that they are in an entirely different location, state, and even country.

What is the procedure when this happens? It truly ruins the app experience when I spend time messaging these people only to discover that they are not local, as well as the likelihood of actually meeting them being virtually impossible. This greatly diminishes the enjoyment of this site.

Do we report this? Even if we do, how do you verify it? Can you see their response in the messages to compare to their profile?

Not really fond of this procedure. To me, it leads me to believe there is interest when there is none.

I prefer to make my own contacts. I'm not objective to having someone contact me first at all. It makes me wonder though. I've had the "Hi" messages show up before, and when I respond, the person asks me why I was contacting them. I didn't.... they sent the first "Hi" message to me.

I'm from Houston Texas. Lived here all of my life. I'm a retired contract federal officer from the Department Of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service of 14 years. I had to retire due to a cervical injury and failed surgery.

I'm divorced, have one son that lives with his mother.

Nope. They get an email address that I created just for dating sites and marketing sites. I never give out my primary info.

Maybe after we have created an actual report over time. To a stranger though... never. I've seen too many phone scams related to toll calls and rerouting of calls.

If they won't take no for an answer, and keep pressing for a phone number, they usually get the number to the local PD dispatch.

Oddly, that usually stops the conversation and badgering for a phone number. I can't imagine why.
