Topic: Inaccurate locations in profiles | |
---|---|
Hi, I have repeatedly been receiving contacts from people listing my home city or area as their location. Once I respond to their message, during our conversation I'm told that they are in an entirely different location, state, and even country.
What is the procedure when this happens? It truly ruins the app experience when I spend time messaging these people only to discover that they are not local, as well as the likelihood of actually meeting them being virtually impossible. This greatly diminishes the enjoyment of this site. Do we report this? Even if we do, how do you verify it? Can you see their response in the messages to compare to their profile? Thank you for your help and response. |

Sort of like how the profile picture doesn't match the information of race and size.

This is the Internet.
There is no way to verify most of what a member posts about themself. Their picture..sometimes. You can report, through their profile, anything that seems 'off'..it will be looked at and adjudicated. soufie Site Admin |

I report a lot of profiles......every time I'm online I find more!
If you're looking in the UK, fakes are easy to spot...they all have overseas photos, and claim to be in Melton Mowray, Melton Constable, Milton Keynes, or Westminster..... if they were telling the truth, then the whole population of those areas would be fakes! Also London seems to have moved...a lot think it's in Scotland! |

Yes, sooo many fakes. I reported some but gave up on that. Felt like I was putting air in a tire with a hole as big as a quarter
