Fear, I said I had no intention of going there.
A couple people have taken my posts out of context.
If you read them again you might see what I was getting at.
Finding the address isn't the same as paying a visit to that address.
What I said was that my intention is to give that information to the authorities.

I know a lot of people post threads and get angry when the response isn't what they expected
and I don't mean to come off that way
but I'm asking for help
not for someone to question how vested I am in pursuing this
or treat me like I might actually be crazy enough to show up on someone stranger's doorstep.
give me a little credit.

I have opted to pursue it because it is important to me.
I'm asking for help, if you can help please do
if not, you're only being counterproductive by posting.

Sometimes I think we can become obsessed with things like this and it could really drive you crazy. Does this really effect your life in a negative way? Sometimes when people do this, if you just ignore them, they finally just go away. But if they know its really bothering you..they keep on trying to get under your skin.
I mean, are the pictures bad pictures? Did she make your profile a bad profile? All you can really do is report it to Myspace and hopefully they will take them down.
Good Luck flowerforyou

see, I disagree.
yes, it has an impact on my life if not for simply knowing that it is there.
and it isn't just my life.
this person isn't doing this to get under my skin.
the negative things said about me might never be known by anyone who actually knows me
but that isn't my worry.
the people who know me know that that isn't me
what bothers me is that she is fooling men into thinking they are going to be with me.
they are buying her gifts and plane tickets and throwing their time and money into something that doesn't exist.
beyond that, she is overly sexual with them
so some guy with the unfortunate luck of running into this person buys a plane ticket half way around the world thinking that him and I are gonna get it on. which is gross.
I suppose it's easier to throw up my hands and say it doesn't have an impact on my life so why pursue it
but that would be a very narrow and selfish view of the world don't you think?
is it not in my best interest?
who better to pursue it than me?

I would have to ask them about it, and whether or not I trust their explanation would depend on what it was.

Damn it! You still wanna ask something?laugh laugh laugh slaphead slaphead

well, yeah.
maybe a friend drove them to the doc
or they went to lunch
who knows?
calling in sick from work should mean you stay home
but I have called in and not stayed on the couch like a good girl.
I would hate to be judged because my brother drove me to pick up a prescription, or something innocent
because my s/o didn't take the time to find out what the situation was.
it would also depend on how long you had been together.
if I have been seeing someone for a month and I don't know all of their friends/family I would definitely just ask
if we had been dating for a while and I was familiar with the people in their life and didn't recognize the person they were with it would be more cause for concern.

I know what its like to have pics copiedflowerforyou I'm sorry that you have to deal with thisflowerforyou some people are evilflowerforyou

thanks hun I just want it to stop.
I found out that she had links to my photobucket from when my myspace page was public
since I didn't create new albums, I just added to existing albums
all she had to do was change the photo number in the URL to have access to all of my photos.
literally hundreds of pictures
at least 15-20 fake myspace pages are the result
I have been photoshopped into photos with people I have never even heard of.
I have to find out who is behind it.

Well, if the your pics are being used on Myspace, then you should probably contact them about the issue. They'll more-than-likely do something about it, as they don't want any more heat after that situation with Missouri harassing that teenage girl with a dummy Myspace profile.

It doesn't exactly work like that.
I have reported multiple profiles to myspace
and very few of them have actually been deleted
even though they are clearly fake
I would post a list but I'm not into handing out free ammunition to the masses.

theres a way to trace phone numbers if the number is not listed as private

waving (((Tina)))
the problem with the phone search is that it's international
what I'm learning is that they don't keep directories public like we do.

if you have a name or an address for someone just look it up on 411.com...

I have a name (don't know if it's real)
IP address
and two phone numbers

doesn't hurt to try looking them up you might be surprised in what you find....Then again maybe not.. but inaction?

I tried 411.com and I've tried googling the phone number and name.
They are international phone numbers, and reverse phone directories for that area are limited to discs which haven't been available more recently than 2006.

Inaction is not an option, hence the post...thanks for the tip but do you know another way to search for an international number?

Well, for a long time now I have been tracking someone who uses my pictures on multiple sites. Last night I searched for the name she uses and I found a cached page on myspace forums with a link to an ebay sale, the user name of the seller is too similar to other msn/myspace/aim screen names to ignore, the location is also 40 or so minutes from where she says she lives on those other sites.

I don't see how it would be illegal to cross my fingers for a return address. Even if I got the address, flew to where she lives and knocked on her door to ask WTH her problem was, what about that would be illegal?

You're better off alerting eBay to the apparent identity theft (ie; the use of your pics in her profile and stuff), as well as any other sites she has used your pics in. Make THEM take action against the person in question. You might able to get your police department involved as well.

All flying to her place of residence will do is cause problems that could potentially land you in jail.

the pictures aren't being used on ebay
the user has no photo on their ebay profile
they were used on myspace (among others)
and the person using them posted a link to a sale on ebay
the user name of the seller on ebay is too similar to other known screen names of the same person I know to be using my photos
and the link to the ebay sale was posted by that person
to me that equals one and the same

to be clear, I don't intend to knock on her door
I do, however, intend to find out who/where she is and send the police there
problem is, they don't exactly care to look for her
I have given them every bit of information I have on her
it isn't a priority to them
but it is to me
so if I have to find her myself for anything to be done about it, I will.

Depends on the seriousness, you could always try and get the court to get Ebay to release that info...aside from that, you're spitting in the wind.
OR I could watch for their next sale and bid on it...keep my fingers crossed for a return address.

haha no not trying to meet anyone...well, maybe...that would be a hoot!
I was just wondering because a person has to receive payment somehow so there has to be a somewhat real person behind an active account right?

Ebay? Kind of a long story but is there a way to find out who a member is in "real life" or is it just as random as...say...mingle?

and while I'm at it are there any bored PIs who want to help me out???

I get up at 8am on work days so sleeping in would be until 9 or 10
but I usually wake up at 8 whether my alarm is set or not,
sometimes I'm lucky enough to fall back asleep for an hour or two
