... and how long ago was it you were in Europe?

I think you have the blinkers on.

Where there are more people, there are more abusers. You are a country of 300 million. Europe is a plethora of countries with 728 million people.

You make it sound like you cannot walk down the streets of Europe without getting mugged.

I think I would rather walk the East End of London at 2am than walk through New York's Central Park at 2am

.. and if I remember rightly, in the Red light districts of Hamburg, the majority of tourists were from the US.

So, you may not have the right light areas (which is rubbish anyway, because you do) but you certainly have whores ... and where there are services, there are customers

You started this debate about Europe and you have seen very little of it.

I dont need to see the States to see the degradation. Its all over our news. Its presented to us in your presidential debates and its covered in your tv stations for us to see.

So, while Europe is not Utopia, and I never said it was, it is a far cry from the Sodom and Gomorrah you paint it to be.

But then with 1300 years of culture, what do you expect?

Don't you mean culture derived from 1300 years of war, conquering, beheadings, plague, genocide, etc., etc.? Like Fanta, Europe is great for a visit and though there are some places I wouldn't mind living in, there is no place like home. True Europeans see the news and assume that this VERY LARGE country is what they see on TV. Pretty narrow minded comment if you ask me.I have never been to Central Park and like the majority of Americans will never see it. Don't care to. I spent 8 months in England and loved it! The people were great and the area I was in was beautiful. Never toured London though and I don't care to. Same with Paris. To me all large cities are the same. A gathering place of too many body parts and most of them are assholes. Yeah, Germany isn't perfect either Fanta but you have to admit it is beautiful, even if they have no sense of humor.laugh Of the 19 countries I have visited I can say there are three that did little for me. Tunisia, Morocco, and Egypt. But even they had some interesting qualities. Come on Glenn, let's go to Ireland where we can sit in a pub and enjoy a REAL Guinness. laugh drinker

Evil is a very harsh word.

I find that there are not very many purely evil people in our history. One example that pops into my head is Hitler.

did you know hitler claimed to be a christian doing doing gods work

interesting is it not

Yes you are correct. Not only is your statement uninteresting but it is also wrong.

Hello wise politicians of the future! I hope you are having a great day!

What are your predictions when the new president of the United States enters office? What do you think he with Congress will accomplish?

Please state which president also for me. thank you.

The subjects are:

1. The war in Iraq and Afghanistan

2. Health Care

3. Education

4. Civil Rights

5. Economy

6. Foreign Policies

Hello wise politician yourself,

John McCain will be the next president. Although the polls favor Obama, during the Hillary and Obama face-off, the polls were always skewered in Obama's favor anywhere from three to five points. Taking this into account, it is obvious that McCain will win the election by a very narrow margin.

What will he and Congress accomplish?

1. The situation in Iraq and Afghanistan will be better, but not settled.

2. Health Care is too complex an issue, particularly with both parties leaning in completely opposite directions. Nothing will be settled.

3. Education has gone steadily down hill for who knows how many years. I don't believe anything meaningful will be accomplished.

4. Civil Rights? I don't get this. What more do we need? Let's be realistic. There are always going to be people who will show prejudice against those who are different from themselves. By this I am not just talking about race, but also ethnicity, politics, religion, socio-economic status, and on and on. In my old neighborhood, there was an older gentlemen who was prejudiced against anyone who had attained a college education. There was also a young man who hated older people. There is nothing that can be done about this type of mentality.

5. Economy. The economy will turn around in another two years no matter who is president.

6. Foreign Policies. John McCain will certainly do a great deal of positive things in relation to this.

I agree with Leah but I think Obama will win with a strong majority. flowerforyou

Don't think 'Big Oil' will drop its price - even with this find?

Why is everything you post slamming "the libs?" How can bipartisanship ever be reached with attitudes like yours?

No, I don't think 'Big Oil' will drop its price. They will gouge every penny out of us that they can. Free market? Look up "Oligarchy."

I think one of the biggest reasons not to tap our reserves is national security. Some day, and it may not be that long, the middle east will run dry, and we'll be sitting on pools of oil. Hopefully by then, we'll have transitioned off the earth polluting poisons and onto sustainable sources.

I agree with you concerning our oil reserves! drinker

I listen to Rush sometimes just for a laugh.

I can't believe anyone takes him seriously.

Perhaps he doesn't even believe half the bullcrap he spouts.

He's the clown prince of the Republican Party.

Maybe he's really a liberal in disguise.

I agree hiker. If you look at both of the extreme wackos, Rush (I'm as full of sh1t as a porta potty next to the cheese curd booth at the Taste Of Minnesota) and the other mouthpiece as Al (no chance in hell of being elected to anything beyond door guard at a high school in North Minneapolis) Franken, from an entertainment viewpoint they are occasionally funny but usually they both reek of extremist bile and I have to turn the dial. drinker
