You'll have to forgive me as I don't live on these boards. Who are "the rest of us"? Does any of "the rest" have a job to go to?

Ummmmmmm, no, "the rest of us" means everyone but the person you were addressing and can refer to as few as three people but used in the context you presented could be misconstrued as stating that the few of us that were not aware of your discussion with the masses due to the fact that we don't have our lives mired in online chatter, were in some way out of step. At any rate I am glad that you are posting here and setting an example for the....... rest of us.

i think Jackson showed his true self with his comment Bingo! That is what I was thinking. The arrogance and hypocrisy of Jesse is on the front page again and unfortunately the press gives that wacko air time once again. Why do they hold him up as a viable opinion on ANYTHING? It blows me away.

i remember that the whole world looked different...i saw things that had always been there but i had never seen...i felt clean and purified without any ritual or certification.As for being fooled..yes, it can happen.You will know them by their fruit. Read proverbs..it says it all

born again? Is there some ritual that MUST take place? Is there some certificate that people show you to prove the Holy Spirit (HS) is with them? And if one speaks and says their words are inspired by the HS why would you not beleive? and finally one more question, can you be fooled into believing someone is sincere about being filled with the HS when they are not? Only God knows the litmus test. I can only speak of my own experience. It was an answer to a prayer from the heart for God to show Himself to me and a promise that I would be His. It was simply an unexplainable feeling when I woke up the next morning. A deep feeling of utter peace when there was NO reason to feel anything but anger, grief, and sadness. That was the "still, small voice" for me and it was the morning that I changed from atheist to Christian. Still working on the growing past the newborn stage though. It has only been seventeen years.
No ritual involved. Just a heartfelt conversation. One on one. Not sure what you mean by someone's words being inspired by the Holy Spirit concerning being born again. |

GOD TV has a Battle for Brittain initiative going on & is asking Americans to pray for Revival in GB... they are going door to door. ... and getting the door slammed in their face. Anyone with a north american accent is seen as a mormon. mormons are as popular as jehovah's witnesses, door-to-door salesman and a case of piles! all of them are a pain in the arse! That is hilarious! We view anyone with an oy mate accent to be a bit mentally sub-standard, overweight, pub crawling drunkard socialists with bad teeth and an awful arrogant attitude for losers on the world stage of history who are led by an inept clutch of inbred silver spoons. But we might be just as wrong in our assessment. Oy!

I'm just gonna stand still until this one tires himself out. Like I did with my dog. LOL Same here. I am so sick of the influx of haters we have seen here lately.  They aren't here for the purpose of learning why someone else believes one way or another, they are here to condemn others. Maybe a sliver of the pie as to why they are single? Haters are lonely people. So sad.  Fortunately I am so busy that the little free time I have is used for sleeping and I miss out on the verbal raids of the pitchfork wielding mob.

I am thankful that Jesus didn't espouse to be for everyone. You're thankful for that? I think this is the sickest thing I ever saw anyone post.
Actually if you believe that Jesus was the creator of mankind, and that he also said that very few will make it into heaven, chances are real good that you will not be among those very few who make it. So ironically, you may actually be thankful that he designed creation in such a way that you yourself we be rejected from his heavenly kingdom. He said that the path is straight and the gate is narrow. Do you think you'll be one of the very few who make it? Are you going to be pleased if you do, knowing that the vast majority of souls did not make it? What kind of a creator designs a creation where the vast majority of the souls it creates end up in eternal damnation. You're thankful for that?
A bra, if that is the sickest thing you have read in these threads then you should spend a few months re-reading YOUR posts. So much hatred and so little time eh?

What if God actually turns out to be nice and isn't predjudiced and bigoted like the bible claims? Wouldn't that be wonderful?
Also, why to believe believe in Jesus when they reject all the other sons of gods that were described in Mediterranean mythologies? It was just another story, not really all that differnet at all from Apollo and all the rest. Just about every God in Mediterranean had a son that served as a buffer between the people and the godhead. Don't you think it would be utterly absurd beyond an coincidence that men would have invented mythologies that just happened to accidentally be the same thing that God had planned all along? That doesn't seem to give God much credit for having an original idea. It would appear that God was just copying man's fabricated mythologies almost to a "T". Why would the creator of our universe be so lame? Lame? Are you admitting that he made you in His image? You really need to find a less hateful hobby. You know, like running over kittens with your car or bungee jumping without a bungee cord. Things that might bring a smile to your face...... like witnessing brutal mutilations?

ok well i am new doing this and need help getting back what christians have lost and not giving up on battles we could win well if enough of you keep doing it they cant but hear us and notice that we should be taken more serious!!! Thing is; Jesus said not to preach, but to live as another may want too. By example. He said to be kind and helpful, showing love, concern and moral living. Anger begets anger, fear evolves harshness and pain. Love is kind. When the student is ready....the teacher appears. Not until then. Kat you have opened my eyes and we need to show kindness to those who show hate and turn the other cheek when they hit us!!! and let all there hateful words roll off our backs!!! I don't do the other cheek bit too well.
