The thing about the profiles is, it is your personal space here to reflect and express who you are. If you think about it, what folks post and what they say without censorship, aside from the site guidelines, which are pretty lenient, is a reflection of who they are. If we all conform to a strict set of guidelines to 'please' folks then it's not truly who we are, it becomes a little bland, restricts our self expression, it's like cookie-cutter profiles, we're all just alike. So, you might not like it, but you actually get a pretty good idea of what that is person is like from the pics they chose to put up for all of us to see, i.e, exhibitionist, pet lover, fisherman, hunter, dancer, body builder, ROCKER. I would rather that than have someone try to conform and not be allowed to showcase who they really are. My 2 cents. I am by far not asking anyone to regulate my opinion....By all means, post pics of your guitar, guns whatever, your right...shows me who I want to stay away from. |

Oh, I just HAD to add this one to the top of my list..
guns...as a woman I dont want to think of my potential date carrying a weapon....I am not ANTI GUNS at all...but...it isnt something I want to see in your hand when I consider meeting you for coffee. |

OK...I just need to rant a bit. These are some things I simply hate to see in a profile...what drives you nuts.
A pic of a man with a woman...I dont care if she is your sister or not. A man rockin on his guitar. (if your are over 35, I no longer find this "cool"){I am sure I will get some hate mail on this} Someone taking a self photo in the middle of a mess. Please put down the camera a clean up a bit. A random sunset scene, with no pic of yourself. Please people... 10 pics of your face and not ONE body shot...what are you hiding? I am by far not perfect, but I am not trying to trick you into dating me either. This is just a starter list, please feel free to ad your own gripes.

I would love to try the Wii, a cell phone that WORKS...
But mostly a new dishwasher...the door is now taped shut to the counter top so as not to slam down on my daughter...so even if its just for show, but to be able to remove the duct tape would be really nice... God I am so greedy! |

i live in jersey and was done in a few minutes (voted before 9 am). However, if the woman a few ahead of me had even LOOKED at her sample ballot,I would have gotten out a lot sooner....she was in there for AT LEAST 10 min all by herself!
