Lurking, fast approaching like a bolt of lightening
The light on the side continues to fade
The love from within continues to die
Darkness still succumbs everything in sight

The pain still remains, happiness not found
Regrets from a past life remain hiding about
The man is unruly, no devotion inside
The love continues to die from the every day dry

What awaits this time?
More tears to come, no sunshine in sight
No love on this earth can erase his past
No love on this earth will ever be held or last

As he wonders how real this can be
Destroying everything he comes to see
Tiredsome walking, hoping for some love
But the man is still trapped by the demons amongst.

Has anyone ever wondered about the past life of the one who is loved?
Has anyone ever been tormented by situations, events that marked the life of the one you hold?

Does the love existe and will it survive?
Does the child inside will make it all all right?
Do the things done mean anything to anyone at all?
Or are you taken for granted thinking it must be this way?

Will you stand and endure the things from the past?
Will you just run away and leave it all behind?
Does he love me, don't think so for sure
Or may it's just me the one that ruins our love for sure.

Covered by tears, a shadow walks after dusk
Long dark hair of remorse, falls on her back
Eyes of dispair, trying to hide the fear
Searchin for the love that her heart still holds dear

The unconditional love he so long sought
Always in front of his eyes, but the doubts were too strong
Her heart could no longer take his neglect
So she opened her wings and had to fly away

Who is this that dwells in the night?
It's his lost angel, he couldn't hold tight
No sorrow, no fury, just a careless heart
He is just an illusion, she thought could be the love of her life

Now she is an angel with broken wings
Flying the heavens still searching for the love within
The long dead warrior has left to the battle fields
She hopes he'd wake up in heaven to hold him near

As the night falls on the fading sun
The light from a love begins to fade
So much sorrow lurking in the dark
So much dissapointment a heart can take

The once bright, clear future for them both
Now overshadowed by uncertainty of things that can't be controlled
Even thou the love is strong
A soul can only cry for so long

If it's his destiny to be the destructor of man
Then her destiny must be to walk the heavens alone
For her love can only hold him for so long
For her love, she thought, made him whole and strong

So she cries in the night
Under a dark starlit sky
Letting the tears fall down on earth
Letting the sorrow drown with the love she holds in her heart.

This is a poem that was written for me by the love in my life, he called it "an angel came to me". I recently have been writing about darkness, cold, loneliness and his angel. This all was inspired by the poem he made for me.



When all was dark and I could not see
All dark visions came to me
Trapped in the dark it was so cold
There was no beauty to behold
In the dark!

I screamed to God. Can you hear me!
I am as a child as you can see
Suffering is all I know
Am I invisible here below
In the dark!

Look at me and you will see
That in my heart is loyalty
What I ask is true love
Send me help from above
Into the dark!

Then an angel came to me
She showed me love and sanity
Beauty and pasion left unbound
She put my feet back on the ground

Our souls consumed with dispair

You are so right TxsGal, I recently moved to a different town to be closer to someone with whom I had an LDR with and now we are closer than before and I love him so much.
