Thanks for the kind words. I'm coming off a pretty bad night last night, and the poem is about it, so I'm glad I could bring a smile to someone's face ^_^.

Fall From Grace (Epiphany)

It's an uphill battle, every single day
Tears fall like rain, the pain is on its way The clouds form a halo above the man's head She saw what he did, not what he said The thunder roars an echo across the floor One after another, bad decisions galore He draws in breath to feed his mind Vision's blurry, he's going blind He just wanted to make her smile See her happy face for awhile He wasn't too smart, bad move on his part He broke her heart, it was doomed from the start It just wasn't meant to be Someday he'll see How Love conquers all No matter how far you fall |

The two sticks holding Him say there's love
But the sky is darkened high above As the dawn rises, my heart begins to sink Dreams shake the mind, can't stop to think The days keep coming, the nights won't last I stand and walk, life's moving too fast Among the stars, shining so bright I hang so low, nothing I said was right These white pills fade to black It all returns, a hardened attack My heart beckons, tears fall like rain The past remains, here comes the pain I'll make this work, no matter the cost Despite my thoughts, I'm no longer lost She sees my good, blinding the hate I had no control, it was all in fate |

Paradise
The mystery of it, could it possibly be real? Is it something we can see, touch and feel? My beloved can't you see Holding you in my arms is where Paradise lies for me I've never held another ever so tight All we've done, it felt so right When I see your smile, it shines light Blinding the demons that engulf the night I cried so hard the day you fell I knew for sure I was walking in hell I stayed by your side forever and a day They said there was no other way Now I can't feel you anymore, I feel so alone You lie beneath the dirt, I stay staring at this stone I'm without you now, I knew it couldn't last Too many things have gone so wrong in my past I lie awake, dreams escape and memories swarm Without you by my side, I wish I was never born She sleeps so quiet, she has your smile I think I'll stay around for quite awhile |

I wrote a few more that are quite a bit more on the depressing-side of love, so I am weary of posting them as I don't know what people would think.
Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it. Edit: Here are a few more. They're more on the depressing side of love but I hope people can understand them. One Dance I see the girl, the one over there She has blue eyes, and blonde hair I don't know her, she doesn't know me She seems sad, like she just can't see Maybe she's blind, refuses to be glad I don't know her past or what she's had I want to learn, be by her side Show her good things on life's long ride I try not too rush, to push too fast Things are good, only when they last Yesterday held so much better days It is hard, but there's no easy ways I try so bad, for that one chance I'm not much to see, at first glance I talk too much, too many rants All I need, is just one dance Riddles I speak in riddles, to all who ask I hide the pain, behind my mask I fear the hate, not being the best Don't want to be just like the rest Maybe I'm wrong, not seeing the real I only know that which I feel The doubt brings fear, pulling me down I walk alone, not even able to frown So lonely and hurt, the darkness surrounds I lose my mind, nobody's around The stage is set, one act to go It's all on me, but I'm a no show I Refuse to accept what He has done Alone and scared, I get up and run Can't find the words to show my heart It's time for change, to make a new start The Night Knees are trembling, eyes are blurry Time's running out, have to hurry So much to do, so much left to say I never thought it would end this way Alone in the shadows of the night I give up, I concede the fight Here comes the dark, gone is the light Down here, there is no wrong or right I run so fast, to escape the past Here comes my fate, finally, at last I embrace with love, courage and care He's nowhere around, here nor there I show no fear, I shed more tears I've tried so hard through the years I feel her warmth, holding me tight No longer afraid, I concede The Night |

A few of my poems

I've written a few poems and just want to know what other people think of them. I wrote them during different times in my life when certain things happened.
Fallen Angel Her name is scarred, her face is dark She knew she was doomed, right from the start Though the pain of yesterday haunts today She knows she just can't stay Her wings are clipped, she falls from grace Among the ashes, she finds her place Alone and scared, curled up like a ball The others did nothing, watched as she fall Impossible to know the truth of this girl How much she meant to one in the world No longer praised, she cries out loud She can't take the pain, no longer around Gazing back on the life she once had The memories of him, much too sad She stands so tall, firm and strong He was there for her, right or wrong Father to Daughter Laying in my tiny arms wrapped in pink I finally have you, who could ever think So sweet and warm, you know you're my queen You're the most beautiful thing I've ever seen I love you with all my heart, never ask why I'll hold your hand and wipe your tears when you cry I've waited so many years, so much pain I knew my efforts would not be in vain Nobody could imagine the loss I felt The pain of darkness, my soul would melt You shine light on me, whenever I'm down Don't look there, I'm here, always around You think you're alone, but you're not Never forget all the things you got My love, my soul, all of me is you Use me, hold me, I'll never be through My Angel Her beauty is unmatched, unlike any other Her love is so pure, just like a mother She stands and stares, amazed at his grace How can someone still walk in such a place She likes him when he's right She tells him never give up the fight She loves him when he's wrong He can't quit, has to be strong Down on his knees, praying to Jesus Looking around, not able to see us We're here for you, always and true Watching over, guiding you through I see her, she's standing right here So beautiful, takes away the pain and fear My Angel, my love, forever beside me No longer alone, together we're free |
