no i think the guy got scared! actually i am the foremost threadkiller, extraordinaire. i'm tellin ya...people see me and go to any other thread. my powers of repulsion are unmatched, the world over. I am sure I could give you a run for your money & I am the queen of e mails never returned & One night Im stands lol i watched myself bring the forum to an almost complete stop. like 6 threads in each of the different communities. it's pretty comical really. but i cut out the IM rejection by not even going there... spare myself the agony being left hanging while the other person takes a nap. |

omg tina, you must check out the site"trailer parks of mississipi"if it is still up.just google it.you will piss your self. i will chek it out. jerry springer did a show about this girl and her bf. but the bf and 2 of his neighbors - in the trailer park- moved their trailers together in a triangle, with the doors all facing the center. like a fort. it was the funniest and grossest thing ever! let me epilogue with I DO NOT WATCH JERRY SPRINGER ! i was surfing and i passed a guy eating a whole chicken on stage...i had to watch. |

<---- i am ashamed to admit that i was raised by a wonderful open father(preacher-very loving), and a high yellow mixed (black and native) mother. mom was a bit of a snob. had opinions on real dark black people, fat people, people who dressed in certain clothes... she was a real snob! but i went to a school that had a very international student body-so thats how i got out alive and reasonably well adjusted. ...but mom was a real pill. shes has really changed as she has aged, and as her children have brought home and married a colorful variety of spouses. |

"Attraction isn't a choice" - David DeAngelo Men are attracted to women differently than women are attracted to men. The problem is, people tend to assume attraction works the same for the opposite sex as it does for them. It doesn't. Men are generally attracted to women with a high replication value (appearance) while women tend to be attracted towards men with a high survival value. true, but we aren't living in caves anymore. True, but the same prinicpal still applies today. It's evolutionary and our emotions are pre-wired to feel attraction for these traits. so how is it that some people are attracted to others based on traits, like, I don't know, intelligence, kindness, wit, honesty? Are they just more highly evolved? so now a person who is not attracted to a big woman, or ugly woman is less intelligent, or evolved? lmao. Awesome a person who cannot value another person for any traits beyond the superficial is less highly evolved in my opinion, yes. Anyway, the poster that I was responding to was talking about how we are wired that way for survival, which is no longer necessary. And I was asking a question, not stating an opinion. If they are not more highly evolved, then how do you explain it? i'm gonna jump in and say that we develop personal taste based on what we've been exposed to and how we've been taught. what kind of example was set for us. were your parents/friends open and friendly and accepting of all types of people? was your environment sterile-only the same general types of people in and out of your world? what were your own parents physical or intellectual traits? how were other/different/unattractive/fat people talked about in your home or general environment. that kind of stuff gets in your head early(without you ever realizing what it is your mind is taking in). maybe it changes a bit as we grow up or mature-whichever applies-but alot of it is there from way back when and we don't even realize that we've been taught that stuff until we find ourselves alone wondering why no one seems to be good enough for us. |

pretty much what you are saying is that anyone who does not agree with your opinions has a closed mind. Is anyone else getting this? ...and should be thrown off a cliff? yeah, i got that. |

i gotta say, i think in some cases, unions are a good thing... but there are those exceptions that are little more than tyrannical. like that 15 minutes of overtime for a phone call... to me that seems kinda ridiculous. (don't throw stones bigglenn - i'm just saying...) |

fer shur. sending a message isn't a commitment. if we won't email a person simply because they are not "attractive", alot of folks on this site deserve to be single. |

Stay at home moms....

hmm... i for one work my tush off. I do not get child support for my kids. If I can afford something fantastic. If not, well then we really didn't need it to begin with. Unless ya count food. Some of the stay at home moms can afford to stay home with their kiddos. I know I did stay at home with my children until my last one started school. And I wouldn't do it any differently. i too stayed home until my child was in school. even then, i made sure my employers knew i would ONLY work school hours so i could be home when he was home, until 7th grade. i never got a dime of child support-did it by myself, with the love and support of a few good friends. |

Weird Dreams

thru out my teen years, i had 2 recurring dreams. one about a dinosaur wreaking havoc in town, but i escape in a mercedes... the other was really creepy. it was like an assembly line-only no people. and i would end up being 'packaged' into a sac, about the size of a pillowcase. i don't remember when they stopped, but it's been at least 10-12 years. |
