I am as a rule a nice guy. I was raised that way.
But I had to learn when to be "bad" by necessity. |

as tempting as it would be to "trash" the books,
it's all the more interesting to "investigate" and discover where a true meaning was intented ... vs a meaning that some had misunderstood or outright perverted to steer others to their own ends. No doubt people key on the discrepancies ... but that does not necessarily invalidate it, but that's what makes a lot of it worth digging deeper into and really see what's going on "in between the lines". Anybody can read something and simply take it for face value and for that, of course it makes the entire concept of the scripture suspect. However, it is when we begin searching for truth and in a spirit of truth, that we discover that the scripture isn't the foundation to be depended upon. What is to be depended upon, is the spirit within us. After that, then the scriptures start making some sense. |

The short and simple answer to that question ...
to serve humanity is to serve God. Think about it. |

I have to laugh at Adam & Eve's situation. They were an example of blaming others for their failings. So, God asks them, "what have you done?" Instead of owning up to their own failings, for instance saying; "Sorry God, I f**ked up". Eve basically said, "The devil made me do it" ... Adam basically said, "She made me do it" .. Seems everything went to hell in a handbasket after that. But since hell exists only in the minds of the relgious, the non-righteous and wicked non-believers never go to hell. From what I am given to understand, hell is not the "place" depicted as a physical place ... the word itself is derived from mistranslations. As to "hell in a handbasket", It would have been more understandable to have said ... "...everything went downhill after that..." The ultimate end is death and a grave. Hell is the "abode of the dead" ... not the living. It's pretty easy to see it. Cemetaries and crypts. The only "living" I've ever seen around it, are those who search for history and those who bury the dead. Everyone regardless of belief, ends up in the grave. The big debate is what happens afterwards. However, there seems to have been some extraordinary circumstances where a few "ascended" ... and it is that which has my attention. |

hmmmmmmmm .....
The universe is full of wonder and mystery. It is waiting for those with the vision and belief to reach out for it. It is yet the greatest adventure I anticipate with great wonder. |

Also, I would have said how does one put themselves into the place of an all powerful being of proportions that our mind cannot even comprehend anyway? Well, I agree, but at the very least, if we're going to acknowledge that this God is supposedly "All-Powerful", then we can at least imagine the best scenarios possible, and then just assume that any truly unbound all-powerful being could even do better than that. I've said this often. No matter how prefect I can imagine a God to be, I must necessarily fail. And God must be even better than that, because of our mere definition and expectations of what God should be (i.e. limitless in power and creativity) So no matter how wise I imagine God to be She must necessarily be even wiser than that. And I agree with your sentiments: We can see how the men who wrote the bible and the quaran failed at their attempts to be in the mind of a god. Talk about creating an image of a truly powerless and lame God. The Hebrews get the award for being the masters of that! For crying out loud they have this God sacrificing his own son at the bloody hands of men. That's pretty darn lame right there. This God supposedly speaks to a bunch of powerless nobodies from a cloud, but then doesn't say a word to the people in AUTHORITY? Where is there any wisdom in that? You would speak with all, but the real problem is, who really listens. |

I simply will not accept anything less than honesty.
I am honest with myself and actually expect it from whomever my interest would be. No, it's not too much to ask. With honesty, comes the option for acceptance. |

Place yourself in the role of God for a few minutes.
How would you create your flegeling creation? Blindly robotic or with a free will to choose. Would you establish a connection and commune with your creation? If your creation "sees" you as their father, Would you reward those who try to emmulate you? If so, how would you reward them? What rewards could you possibly give them? What would you do for your creation? Then, also .... what would you do if your creation ultimately rejects you? Not that they simply reject you, but go out of their way to convince your other creations to reject you as well. Would you punish them all or the perpetrator? If so, how would you punish them? You being the creator and "father" of your creation ... have the last word and ultimate choice. How would you reward obedience and punish disobedience? I have some answers. |

Someone left out the stupidity factor for falling for such (insert favorite defamation here), but it's even more complicated than that.
You also forgot the chicken with the prettiest feathers .... wether those feathers are muscles or smooth talking. |

to "See" and "Hear" the truth....
one must do so in the spirit and not with the physical. To see, one must be willing to look beyond physical sight. To hear, one must be willing to listen beyond physical hearing. |

what anyone can read in a written language means absolutely nothing.
What matters is knowing within yourself the difference between right and wrong. Then, taking that responsibility for your own actions. Even if there were no written "word" ... you know nothing of the "word", claiming what is written is undeniable truth. That's where you're wrong. The undeniable truth is within you and it has been within you since you first began learning values. Your own sense of right and wrong cries out within you, when you see an injustice. Those are the "unwritten" laws that beg for your action. There is no sin in doing what is good. That fulfills the law. For those of you who would seek the guidance from the Almighty, even the name Jehova is incorrect because the name of the Almighty is unknowable. Seek first within and when you reach that point of revelation, you will discover that it had been reaching out for you all the time. |

crominy....
bashing a book. LMAO. You wish to bash what is written by the hands of men.... rather than permit the spirit to teach you the truth. Yet wether or not you are aware of it, you admit Jesus existed by your own words. For the record: Blasphemy is the speaking evil of anything for that matter. |

well golly gee whiz. Who wrote the rules of what is sexy?
Photos of "glamour" shots after the fact only looks like something a leg humper would like and that every mindless male with a mating complex wants to deposit their "manliness" into their safety deposite box. Looks ain't everything but attitude is. |

If you believe in karma....

Doesn't really matter what the definition of "karma" is. It sure as hell does if you want to have a conversation about 'it'. Or even if you want to think (using language) about it. I aspirin some toothache (with a trombone living spam an alchemist) and a clock beyond the dissident swim state of intimacy where we befriend our impresario apple navigate. Thats what you get when definitions don't matter. On the other hand, if you don't want to participate in a conversation about karma.... why post in this thread? If you're going to quote me, quote me entirely and word for word. You left out the second part of my statement which defines karma. "But things do have a tendency to come around full circle". Next time, read the entire statement and take time to understand what it meant before injecting meaningless babble at an attempt to be insulting. |
