Feeling the earth move so much under my feet was really quite a humbling experience. I wish I could describe it better, but it's similar to looking up at the stars and realizing how insignificant you and all the things many people assign value to really are.

This has been a pretty eventful year already, geologically. First the volcanic activity in the Phillipenes and Hawaii and now this. Also didn't the New Madrid fault act up a little bit too? I suspect we haven't seen the last of this ongoing geologic change.

Does anybody know if there is a One Piece movie in the works? I've seen a few ads out in town and they are selling bread in the shape of straw hats at the 7/11s here.

relatively small damage compared to the magnitude of the earthquake Please, before you respond to this, stop to fully consider how much worse things could have been. |

Just wanted to let everyone know that even though I am not far from Tokyo we have not suffered much damage here, power and water is on and life is returning to normal. I think the fact that there is relatively small damage compared to the magnitude of the earthquake is a testament to Japanese engineering that has gone into earthquake proofing the major populated areas. Also Tokyo Bay seems to have provided natural shelter for the same area from the Tsunami.
I happened to catch a bit of Fox's coverage of the events. I pray for everyone in America who has been affected by that sensationalized garbage. I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. Please consider a more reliable source for your news. |

Coincidentally, I saw this on a friend's page yesterday. I thought I'd share it here.
Religion is like a penis. Its fine to have one, its fine to be proud of it. But please dont whip it out in public and start waving it around. And PLEASE dont try to shove it down my throat! |

Not to mention splitting your time up between doing this, and actually going OUTSIDE to try to meet people!

I think religions are more like cocoons. Sometimes they are necessary in order to bring about a change. While someone is inside one, there may not be a lot of room to move around, but once it is cast off, you can never go back to the way you were before.

And if all of out military fighting these wars could all come home and be with the ones they love and cherish!!!! That WOULD be great... If there were an actual war going on. Wouldn't it be great if Bush hadn't F-ed everything up? Wouldn't it be great if Congress had actually declared war on... on whoever it is we're supposed to be fighting? I guarantee you it would be over by now if there was an all out war. I could continue with the "Wouldn't it be greats" in this area, but what's done is done, and there's no use in getting all worked up about it now. |

How many Dragon Ball Z Characters does it take to screw in a light bulb? Less than the number of DBZ fans it takes to screw in a lightbulb? |
