Japamation fan here.

Gundam sucks big time though as does the Captain Harlock Saga.

Now Mizaki animation? Top notch! Tamala 2010, jut plain bazaar! Cat Soup likewise is just bazaar. Super Milk Chan... if you like it crude and lots of insults, oh yeah! Akkira, flat out bad azz!

There are other hard core fans here as well and they will turn you on to some oddities.

If you like it with lots of crude sexist humor and a lot of foul language, Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt! You can find it on youtube! Warped is not good enough a word to describe the humor of that one... Ghost hunting angels trying to earn their way back into heaven, Stocking stuffs her face with sweets at every chance she gets and likewise is into bondage, Panty is out to screw 1000 men before going back to heaven. She also is a total biitch. Garterbelt is a pedophile priest who oversees the two angels and likewise is cursed by God but you will have to watch it for yourself. Chuck is their zipper dog and subject to a lot of abuse. he has a little red devil living in his head. Undo his zippers and what pops out is terrifying. Corset is the bad guy. Well, actually the head bad guy!

Caution this one is addictive.

Loved Ergo Proxy and Beck/Mongolian Chop Squad.(Damn the jerk who stole it)

Mostly I like cute stuff like Azu Manga Daioh, Ouran Host Club, Fruits Basket, and Wallflower.

However, I recently got into a Manga called 'King of Thorns' and another called 'Until Death Do Us Part'.

Films : Paprika, Perfect Blue, The Tokyo Godfathers and Millenium Actress (cried like a damn baby). Also a fan of Asian Horror and action.

I've enjoyed Gravion, Gravion Zwei, Elfen Lied, This Ugly yet beautiful World, Deathnote and most recently Claymore.

Claymore and Heroic Age looked fantastic on Blue Ray.

I've seen really bad animes like Gurren Lagann that are preeeeeetty bad plot wise and play out like a toldlers day dream, but there have been some real jems if you can dig them up. Sometimes some of the best anime only runs for a dozen episodes.

Monster is pretty intellectually stimulating. Boring at times then very thrilling at others. I enjoyed it alot. It's almost like a mix between Noir and the movie The Hitcher.

I'm in love with the animation. It's so beautiful, I can't wait to start it.

I had the whole Death Note series, I still have all the patches and key chains. My ex sold them when he was particularly pissed at me.

I was considering watching Claymore sometime soon.

Of course, one of my early childhood faves was actually Japanese anime adapted to the U.S. - Battle of the Planets, known in Japan as Gatchaman.

Not a huge fan but I've enjoyed Akira, Robot Circus, Project A-ko, Vampire Hunter D, Grave Of The Fireflies.

When it comes to Asia I'm more of a fan of live-action(horror, martial arts)- Battle Royale, Evil Dead Trap, Ringu, Shaolin Soccer, Hausu. And "Pinky Violence" films like Terrifying Girls' High School: Lynch Law Classroom. Some of the Category III films like Ebola Syndrom, and Riki-Oh: The Story of Ricky

I devour anime at an alarming rate. Some of the best animes I have ever see include and are not limited to:

Beserk (My number one favourite!)
Gantz (Gory as all hell, but great!)
Golden Boy (The ultimate Perverted anime)
GTO - Great Teacher Onizuka (Hilarious!)
Code Geass (Pretty sick.)

As for movies, anything by Hayao Miyazaki is awesome, specifically Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke and My Neighbour Totoro. :D

Other okay, or not bad animes I enjoyed:

Tora Dora, Claymore, Fate Stay Night, Murder Princess, Clannad, Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Alchemist, School Rumble and Infinite Ryvius.
