I'm not a huge anime fan, but most of my friends are so I would just watch whatever they were watching. I liked Death Note though. Since I moved to Japan I've seen the live action versions of Spacebattleship Yamato (not so great) and Gantz, which I thought was pretty cool, in the theaters even though they were in Japanese with no subtitles.

Quote I use most often from Princess Bride:
"You keep saying that word. I do not think it means what you think it means." |

4. "You shall not pass!" Lord of the Rings This one should read: 4. "None shall pass." ~The Black Knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail |

What exactly did you want rated? No pic and very little in your profile doesn't leave much... Honestly, I was afraid of getting alot of negative feedback for not posting a pic. I think you made a fair assessment, but I can always change and add to my profile. It will probably always be a work in progress. |

BTW, Bored, love the engrish billboard. Actually living in Japan, I'm surprised I don't see so much of it. Or maybe I just make more sense of what I do see by applying Japanese grammar rules instead of English.

Had a '74 Super Beetle, and a '68 Microbus. Also they're not older, but I've had a '93 Eurovan a '01 Jetta and currently driving an '02 Bora.
Anyways if you're looking for parts, I used to get some from Rocky Mountain Motor Works. |

Oh man, the Magic School Bus or the Flying Winnebago? This could possibly be the most difficult decision I've ever had to make...

But let's be realistic, I'm more than likely not ever going to meet 99.99% percent of the people who use this site. Possibly 100% not including myself. And it has nothing to do with personalities, or likes and dislikes... it's all simple geography. A five ounce bird cannot carry a one pound coconut! And if you know what my profile picture means, then a simple "love the pic" already speaks a thousand words about something that we both know and understand about each other.

How can I switch from Windows Boot Loader to GRUB? Anything to make Ubuntu boot up by default rather than Windows! I'm 99% free of it, but it still haunts me.

They cleared Stephen Hawking to fly on a "vomit comet." They actually got the rules changed for him.

They've tested the rocket, and done unpowered glides several times. At this point, it seems to be only a matter of putting everything together. It should be happening fairly soon. They can still make a few adjustments after a powered tet flight before passengers start flying. I hate how everything Virgin Galactic and the Spaceship Company seems to be announced after it's already happened.

mayan calendar

One Baktun ends, another begins. It's still just another day. And a great reason to throw one EPIC party!
The most fascinating thing about the Mayan Epoch for me is the fact that the Mezo-American civilizations didn't leave any archaeological evidence behind until about two and a half thousand years after the "start date" of the calendar. What happened before then? Did they inherit the calendar from a previous civilization? If so, who? What happened to them? And the biggest question of all, What historical event were THEY counting up from? |

I read an article about a few missions when astronauts were cleared to fly even though they were intoxicated. Can you really blame them for not wanting to go up sober?
Also, does anybody know when Spaceship Two will be making it's first powered flight? |
