I have just read the Micheal Vick(he of the dogfighting ring) leads the whole NFL in receiving votes for the Pro Bowl. I will in no way condone what he did and I certainly will not ever forget it.

He has however, done his time and has become a model citizen and teammate and those guys swear by him. He gives credit to his teammates, his coaches, and even to the fans of the city of Philadelpia.

It always strikes me as a sort of subconscious "Well, this is all I've got to offer" mentality....

But you see the same thing with the guys and the shirtless "muscle" pics. Some people can't see past the physical. And if that's all they want, great.

Some of us would like to find someone with a little more to work with intellectually, though....

And, as an afterthought -- a lot of the women who post the provocative pics are the ones who complain the loudest when they get 100,000 messages saying "nice boobs" -- you just can't please some people....!

well said, Lex!

Well said and I agree!!!!

New.. to this site, singles scene.
I fail to understand why so many ladies want to post such pictures.. I want a man to find me attractive because of so many things other than just my body. Maybe there is some low self esteem.. I don't know. I of course want to feel sexy and wanted but feel that should be left in the intimacy of a couple. I feel that this takes away form a person to act this way in public. Please don't be insulted, I mean harm to any persons feelings. Maybe some response can shed some light...

I call it "personal choice". These folks make these choices because they see it as working in their eyes. You can make the choice in posting what you wish and just being You. No one can make choices for you and you can be who you are without any pretense. I guess this goes back to way before we even existed. All I can say is to make the correct choice of pics, be patient and you will draw the type of people you want. Consider that these women are trying to sell themselves with these pics. Not good.   waving waving

May be low self esteem plays a role in this. Personally, I am turned off by it. Makes me think of legal prostitution and them not caring about anything but themselves nor having any respect for themselves. Human self respect and dignity goes a long way toward attracting those that one wants to.

Answer this: What is wrong in San Diego that so many women have to use dating sites to find each other? (Guilty but I live out in the boonies)

They have plenty of gay and mixed bars in the Hillcrest area of San Diego. That is where you will find most of them. I am not gay, but I do keep my eyes and ears open in case something like this comes up and need a answer. You MUST be Patient!!!!! Nothing happens ery quick in this city!!!!!

i don't like lists or agenda's or expectations. i like to just enjoy a person and see where we fit into each others lives. i think regardless of how you do it, compatability and chemistry rules people in or out. so you should stay true to yourself and just do what feels right for you. flowerforyou

This I agree with. I have yet to see where lists mean anything other than to stop progress from past to future and missed opportunities. One needs just enjoy and see where the chips fall.

To all:

Thank you for your freindship(crtical or not), thank you for your opinions and for those who have sent emails, thanks. Your genuiness and hospitality are soooo appreciated. I am not going anywhere. I just thought that thanks are in order for no special reason other than appreciation. I can only hope to make a difference as some of you have. Thanks again.    waving

I am not sure this fits here. Both of my parents were alcoholics. It was a big problem in my house. My father died very young because of it. In my military days, you could not get guys to leave it alone.

Me personally, I make a vow in every year to remember never to drink in memory of my parents. It is said that when parents drink, the kids pick it up. I want to prove them wrong, so every year I make this solemn oath.

A department store in the US has fired its Father Christmas after he told a risque joke to two "older" shoppers.
'Bad Santa'
Fired For Telling Risque Joke Enlarge photo.
John Toomey, a veteran Santa at Macy's for 20 years, was dismissed after the couple made a complaint about his brand of humour.
But 68-year-old Mr Toomey, who worked at the San Francisco Union Square store, claims he is no
"bad Santa".
He says he only tells jokes to the grown-ups who visit him - none of whom have ever complained before.
"When I ask the older people who sit on my lap if they've been good and they say 'yes', I say 'Gee, that's too bad',
Mr Toomey told the San Francisco Chronicle.
"Then, if they ask why Santa is so jolly, I joke that it's because I know where all the naughty boys and girls live."
Mr Toomey, who is called Santa John by his fans, insists he would never use inappropriate humour with the many children who visit the store.
"With the children, it's important to listen carefully to them and make sure they're doing things properly, like brushing their teeth and helping Mom around the house, things like that,"
said Mr Toomey.
"Then when they tell you what they want, repeat it loudly enough so the parents can hear, and tell the child you'll talk it over with Mrs. Santa and the elves. That way you leave it up to the parents."
The sacked Santa, who boasts his own white beard, was a big hit with customers who returned every year to see him.
Macy's has refused to comment on the incident, although employees have described the sacking as
"devastating".
Mr Toomey need not be too worried, though - is sacking has given him celebrity status and he has received calls from all over the country to appear as Father Christmas.
The co-owner of Lefty's sports bar, which hired Mr Toomey to head up a toy collection, has likened the rally of support to the film
"Miracle on 34th Street".

ohwell

Modern day "grinches"? Sounds like it to me.What goes around comes around is what I say. I am sure he is not hurting for support.

This doesn't answer your question, but I am accustomed to getting up early and grabbing a towel for my shower and setting it on top of the toilet while I shower so its right there for me when I get out. Today I went through my normal routine and didn't realize i left the seat up, so when I went to dry myself off, I found my towel absording 5-6 gallons of toilet water. Yay!

    Thank you that just made my morning......

Another reason the seat should be put down.....

And yeah I keep a light on so no way I will fall in takes once for that to happen and you learn to leave a light on.....slaphead rofl rofl

Actually that is not one of my pet peeves if it is up when I go by the bathroom I do put it down. Just don't make and issue of it.

Now the shower curtain is a different issue close the damn thing if your going to take a shower shshshs...slaphead

Down. since I live alone, I don't have those issues. If I have a visitor, (which is rare), I will leave the toilet seat down anyway. I would hate to fall in and scare my neighbors.laugh laugh blushing rofl rofl rofl
