What's wrong with a man buying a woman a gift? I'm not woman hating. Men have different personalities. Some are selfish and only take. Nothing wrong with a woman wanting a man who is generous. I don't think she said it equals affection. She said that's what she wants. A lot of women my age are sick of sitting home and cooking for a man. We feel like it's time to enjoy life. We've done without so our family could have things and we feel it's our turn to get some of the things we want. We want a man who still wants to go out and have fun. We don't want a couch potato that a lot of men our age are turning into. We don't want a man who has financial problems where everything is still unaffordable. A guy I went to school with wanted to date me a few weeks back. He has 4 underage kids. He was one of those who wants the stay at home dates. I just don't want to be strapped to that. If that is what she is trying to say then I agree with her , but Im stuck at the bitter part , if she is bitter with men how is she going to find a man who will lavish her with the things and lifestyle she desires. As a guy who likes to travel and do things,I dont want to meet a couch potato either or has financial issues but these things can and will affect a relationship. |

I for one dont believe in overspending on a date when Im getting to know someone, that doesnt mean Im cheap , because my last girlfriend we went away on weekends a lot, Ive taken her to Martha's vineyard for the weekend to Vegas, to Canada ( Niagara Falls, Toronto , Ottawa and Montreal) to vacations places like Bora Bora, jamaica just to name a few. Im not going to take a date to those places as I dont know if the dates will turn into a relationship, but once Im in the relationship that is a different story I will spoil her because well she would be worth it. |

I will disagree if race relations got 'better', the dischord certainly transformed into other more 'justifiable' forms though ... and state sanctioned BLATANT racism decreased, although more subtle forms also replaced it. IMHO, that was a race between two qualified candidates so I cant say what tipped the scale. But when there is a qualified woman against an unqualified man, that conclusion is easier to draw. And that is nonsense. I posted earlier, Obama won the democratic primary and he was the least experienced. I posted earlier that Obama cleaned John McCain's clock in 2008, a lesser experienced multi racial man against an establish war veteran man in McCain. There is no way you can have deep seated affection for a woman and you would not want to buy her nice things or do ,say things that will put smiles on her face. I pray never to lack to give and be responsible. I pick the bills or buy nice things even if she is a millionaire. Except I don't have. Can I recieve from a woman? Yes! The best job I had so far in life-a woman gave me the connection. Have recieved gifts too. Giving is living! A woman must cost you something. They are pearls of great value. sorry but that is a load of doggie droppings, if you have to place monetary value for a woman's affection she isn't worth it. True love is priceless, most women would cherish gifts from the heart, now that doesnt mean you cant or shouldnt spend money on her. Gold diggers and materialistic women expects the royal treatment when they have nothing to offer except, well you know. That doesnt mean a guy has to be a cheapskate , meet a girl in a parking lot, take her to lunch at subways with a two for one coupon, go to starbucks and split a oversize frappuccino and expect to go back to her place either. Getting to know someone doesnt require spending a fortune to impress her, most women are impressed with men who have integrity, isnt chasing every skirt in town and doesnt have two nickels to rub together either,and when he gives a gift its a gift from the heart, that is something she cherishes. |
