She contacted me. We ended up in a 6 year relationship with each other and still are friends. I guess my luck ran out because this time nada.

I don't think it matters if you have a job or not. What matters is if you have money or not. I would prefer a women that is independent financially, not having a job is a plus because then there is more free time to spend together. Everyone's situation is different.

My ex did come up on another dating site as a good match. We were both surprised. Since we are still friends we had a good laugh about it. But, life is strange so who knows what the future holds with anyone new you meet or have met prior.

I would think dating would mean you are playing the field and possibly looking for a relationship. Being in a relationship is more than just dating and there may be emotional attachment and the possibility for something more long term. Of course this is just my opinion.
