I'm not getting on Lib's or Repubs, they both suck and are destroying this country. I just think it's a stupid topic, not worthy of the screen it was made-up on.

Hatred? Most people -- including myself -- I know don't like the direction of the country is going and has been going for a while now. But hate is too strong of a word.

I dont doubt,,

but many people ARE hateful,,,

His reinvestment into urban America is a joke. Does he actually think they won't be in horrific shape again a year (or less) from now after the novelty wears off? Fact is, if something is given to someone, they don't appreciate it or take pride in it. If you have to work for it, pride comes along with it as a bonus.

Looks like the health insurance they used to be able to afford has been replaced by a high tax.

Demand a repeal of the oBummertax.
Did they have insurance and do you really want someone with zero healthcare handling your food?
That's a pretty weak argument, how many people do you know in the food industry with great health insurance if any?

We love millionaires who throw, kick, and bounce balls
We love millionaires who pretend to be someone in movies
We love millionaires who play guitars, sing, and dance
We love millionaires who talk on late night TV
We love millionaires who controll our lives in government
We hate millionaires who create jobs

I just don't understand it.
You'll go nuts trying to figure out the "gimme gimme" generation.

If you think Petraeus resigned because of an affair, you seriously need to step back and rethink it. He was the head of an agency that disposes of people everyday. Do you not think that if someone threatened to expose this, it would be taken care of quickly and efficiently under the radar?

And why resign now? Just days from now he was due to testify before Congress about who was involved with the murders of an ambassador and three other Americans. Do the math people. This story reeks of cover up.

True Willow, we had nothing to choose from this election. I wonder if the public will ever smarten up and realize that no matter who we vote for we're gonna get screwed over.

From The Federalist Papers bookface page

Today Rep. Ron Paul, whose maverick presidential bids shook the GOP, said in the wake of this week's elections that the country has already veered over the fiscal cliff and he sees no chance of righting ship in a country where too many people are dependent on government.

"We're so far gone. We're over the cliff," the Texas Republican told Bloomberg Television. "We cannot get enough people in Cong
ress in the next 5-10 years who will do wise things."

"People do not want anything cut," he said. "They want all the bailouts to come. They want the Fed to keep printing the money. And they don't believe that we've gone off the cliff or are close to going off the cliff. They think we can patch it over, that we can somehow come up with some magic solution.

But you can't have a budgetary solution if you don't change what the role of government should be. As long as you think we have to police the world and run this welfare state, all we are going to argue about is who will get the loot."

Do you agree or disagree and why or why not?
I agree, this country has gone to he** in a hand-basket. It's not really all the politicians fault because the people vote them in. (For the most part)

This generation is weak and they for some reason feel someone owes them something. I was just talking about it tonight with an old school buddy who has kids. It stems from kids being spoiled and pampered to much I think. Most kids have a video game console and a cell phone that surfs the net making exercise or real human interaction a thing of the past.

Having games where there "are no losers." Everyone wins and excuse me for being realistic, but that's not how life is. They, for the most part, are the generation of "Gimmie, Gimme, Gimmie," yet they don't realize that for everything they get, someone had to give up something.

So in response to this question, yes I agree with this statement if we as a nation don't start cutting, not reducing, some of these programs that take away the process making people accountable for their actions, we will sink this once great nation.

Latest poll results.

Was 911 an inside job?

Yes at 77.8%

No 11.9%

Depends on how you define inside at 9%

None of the above at 1.3%

All this despite a 24/7 11 year propaganda campaign.

guess you next project will be to make a Poll about the virtues of Catholicism on a pro-Catholic-Site!
If it were not so pathetic I would be amused at how you dismiss everything you do not agree with as "crackpot" Or "conspiracy".

The website were the poll is posted is called free thought nation, many topics are discussed there with an open mind.

I have an inquisitive mind by nature and am open to non conventional things.

If you do not have an inquisitive mind maybe this thread is not for you eh Mr Conrad.

"If those in charge of our society -- politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television -- can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves." -- Howard Zinn, historian and author
Oh, so Conrad is pathetic because he does not agree? Yeah, that's the sign of an open mind!
