The Ron Paul team is attempting to make clear the candidate has neither folded nor suspended his GOP presidential campaign. "Let me be very clear,” chief strategist Jesse Benton said in a memo Tuesday. “Dr. Paul is not dropping out or suspending his campaign.” Benton said the 76-year-old Texas congressman will stay in the race until it reaches the Republican National Convention in Tampa in August. The clarification came after the campaign announced a day earlier that it would not spend money in the remaining primary contests --a decision widely interpreted as Paul's de facto concession. Still, Benton acknowledged Tuesday that the need to “maximize our resources” has forced the campaign to skip the 11 remaining states with primaries and instead focus on district and state conventions to win more delegates and alternate delegates toward the convention. To keep going, grassroots Paul supporters on Thursday are holding a so-called Money Bomb, a one-day, all-out fundraising effort. Benton said Paul’s recent success at the Maine convention makes campaign officials think they can win several more states. He conceded that Paul, who draws large support from Libertarians and the Tea Party, will almost certainly lack enough delegates to win the GOP nomination in Tampa but will have enough to vote on party rules and “shape the process for future liberty candidates.” “This fight is not over,” Benton said in a letter to supporters. “We will continue fighting and expanding.” Paul had said in his Monday letter -- the one interpreted by some as a farewell note -- that staying in primary races “with any hope of success would take many tens of millions of dollars we simply do not have." You thought you did with Cain, Gingrich and Perry and they all dropped out. Face it, your track record with this election sucks. |

I absolutely know what prisoners do to the new fish in the tank, especially when they are child molesters put in the general pop. So unless he is put in solitary, something not so pleasant might happen. I'm not sorry if this fact upsets some and you think he should be given another chance. From what I read, he was given another chance and he chose not to follow the rules again knowing the consequences. I don't want him to be on the streets plotting his move against another helpless child. Would you feel like he deserved one more chance if your child was a victim? I dont know, Id like to think once he served his time, I would. My assailant served his time, and though I dont want him near me (fear of vengeful behavior) I dont begrudge him the opportunity to live the rest of his life with freedom to make better decisions. |

America desperately needs a viable third party. They don't have one now. If Paul runs as an independent, he will just draw votes from Romney and may cost him the election. GOOD! Because she doesn't have enough faith in Obama to win on his own. |

Ok I think what my little firecracker woman is saying is that he was convicted of molesting children (three girls) in 1990, when he got out he continued this action (or else still thought about it) because in 2002 he got arrested and convicted for possession of 5000 horrific pictures (not just kid porn) we are talking kid deaths. Got out in 2005 and has apparently been an alias for 7 years. That's why he is in jail again.
Personally I think there is much more to Keith Willis (there is no Lex) than we know. I don't feel one bit sorry for him either, because evidently he didn't change or he wouldn't be using an alias. |

Just playing devil's advocate here, remember high school civics? The president doesn't make law; congress does. The president can ask congress to make law, but congress has that power, not the pres. seems like Im posting that point at least once a day in the forums,,, i'm not sure what making laws has anything to do with executive orders... |

The collection plate must have been a little light from people coming to their senses and figuring out that they can't really buy their way into the grand picture of heaven the church paints.

What demographic was used from which part of the country for the random sample? What was the margin of error? These are some things that make it a legitimate survey. Why don't you ask CNN and the new New York Times/CBS News poll people. The parts where "truthers" try and deny the laws of physics is what gets me laughing. Peccy the truthers don't deny the laws of physics. Where do you get that idea? You will have to be more specific. What I don't buy is the computer simulations and the false information programmed into them in order to finally, after trial and error, get the calculations they needed to claim that it is possible for a giant high rise to be toppled by a normal fire or a plane. What I don't buy is how a parking lot full of cars were all rusted out with many that had their engine blocks melted and the parking lot was blocks away from the buildings. I watched the videos and I did not see that much fire. It was all dust. If there was that much heat and fire then why was there paper flying all over the place that was not even touched by fire? Those computer simulations you don't buy are based on....dramatic pause....physics. And can you actually prove that they were fed false information. No, the outcome was not what you wanted so you cry foul. |

We cannot afford all this warring. If Romney gets elected, we won't be able to afford much of anything! |
