Are you not a winner if you find a religion that fulfills you and brings you closer to enlightenmeant? I think the true winner is the one that finds a religion/spiritual path that works for them. So everyone is a winner, there is no good one religion, that kind of thought pattern is pathatic to say the least.

No, it is not hard to become "Wiccan". If you wanted to, you can take a self initiation and declare yourself Wiccen. It also depends if you want to follow the traditional path of Wicca, rather then the newer path, there is not a huge different, but there is a bit.

It also depends on if you chose to do this by yourself, or with a Coven. If you do it with a Coven, it doesen't matter how long you've been practicing, you are still required to study for a year and 1 day, at this time, this is when the Coven see's you as a Wiccen, and a full member of the group.

Make sure to do your research completely on the religion, there is a lot to it and a lot can be found on the net. I am not one that cares for this religion to much, I think it pulls to much from traditional Pagen religions, but that doesn't make it a bad religion, there is no such thing really.

I suggest just read all you can about it, I would suggest to read the more traditional work on the religion and absolutely stay far away from Silver Ravenwolf. I have read a few of her books, I did not like them at all, and many others I have spoken with fill the same. If you would like I could post some titles if a few good books to educate you on this religion more in depth.

Anyone from here ever actually start a relationship? I'm been here for months and haven't even gotten a date. Just wanting to see if most people have this problem, or how this site has worked for them.

I am a Pagan, but I personaly see being a Oricle, as in seeing the future, as impossible. The M theory states that the future is not created in our time line yet, so you would only be viewing a possible future timeline, one that may or may not happen.

Nothing is absolute, everything is prone to change, I am in no way telling you that you don't have a Destiny, I believe the Destiny is more or so dependent upon your Karma, but there is in no way things are set to happen, thats why things are called mistakes.

Seems you don't understand we need war BECAUSE of religion. I wish I had that bible quote, I think it was something like this;"Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it."

With religion and the such telling people to go to war, all the people being heads over heals, to the point to wear they use religion as a cruch, mainly because they fear hell, this is why we have war. Even once of the biggest religions in the US killed over 6 million people during the crusades, the church still justifys it to this day. Look at a book called "Malafacaius Malafacarum", it means "The Witches Hammer", horrible stuff what they use to do to people.

I don't agree with the war, but I think we need war. I don't like the idea of everyone in a damn race to see who can blow who us with the bigges bomb only one time, but that dosen't matter, there going to do it anyway, there like kids, everyone wats the biggere toy, with the advances in techology it isn't going to happen until someone strikes first, with a bog toy.

No one should feel like there Karama is being tilted to that of the negative side for not helping the cause, I slightly think the cause is Pathatic. I also do not like the idea of everything going to a collective, that goes against the law of energy, energy cannot be destroyed or created, if we all became one that would be creating a new form of energy, the only thing we can do to energy is manipulate it. Well, still on the subject of Karma, you also have to factor in if people truely beieve they are doing right, who is to say there not? I am one who believes Logic is Subjective to opinion, most will say that its not, but its true, 1+1 does not always = 2, some times it can equal 3. If I killed your father for hurting someone I care about, only a example, that would be ritious to me, but bat to you, this is what I mean by logic, to be that would be a good Karmetic debt, to you I would more then likely deserve the same death, or worse.

I have no double that people will completely forget the idea of Karma in war, when it comes to war all religion gets forgotten, they are Dogs gone from the leash, most anyway, and even if they do frow some Karma, Karma can have them thrown in military Prison, thinking that you may have bad Karma for killing someone, you refuse, yes, that is some quick prison time, I'm sure.

I believe in other worlds, even science predics in, with Strong Theory, Master theory, ect. We just have to wait for the day until we have the ability to go back and forth, that day is coming soon.

Aleister Corlwey believed that the Angel you speak of was actually the higher self, one aspect of the soul, not a seperate entity per say. Your body is made up of many different bodys, the ancient Egyptians believe you have 5 normal spiritual bodys, then a physical body, making 6, most new age religions today believe we all have a spirit, soul, Astral, Etheric, and higher self, the higher self is some times called the double. I don't follow theNew Age movement, I think its a bunch of rubbish and theaft from older religions, but the Astral body is your body that is on the Astral Plain, your Etheric Body is the body on the plain above the Astral, the Spirit is what goes to the After life, the Soul is what people think of as ther higher self, they call it a "higher Self" because it actually hovers about 6 or 7 inches above the body, so this body is 6 to 7 inches taller then your physical body.

Its purpose is to push you to finish your True Will, the "True Will" is what you really want to do, deep down, this entitiy will go to the point of telling you to jump into fire to get your Will done. Hope it helped.

Names of God? Way to many for me to remember, but the most common that pop into mine are El, Omega, Alpha, the most well known one, well, not well known in that sense but to occultists, would be the Tetragramaton (bad spelling), that is the 72 letter of God. There are some occultists you can find that claim to know the true name of god, but they refuse to speak it, suposedly speaking the true name of God would have a very powerful meaning.

The idea that the true name of someone has power comes from something called "True Name", its the idea of everything having a true name, the name having power of that object/person. The only thing I have came to that this could have originate from would have been Egypt. In acient Egpyt they would hide there real name and only give a fake name, they believe there given name was magical, living, it was actualy another aspect of there "soul" in ancient Egpyt, it was said to live as long as the person/thing did. The true name does hold power over people, simple call there name, they turn around right? That is a type of power.

Hello, I am a Pagan, but I do follow some of the beliefs of Zen Buddhism. I like there form of meditations better then any other I have tried before :)

I view Karma as how the universe keeps balance, even in science things must keep balance, if things don't, they become unstable, its like having to weights on each side of a board, if you add more weight to one side the other goes up, Karma is the cause and effect of the Universe, thats my thought on it anyway.

I have a few questions.
Well, I know the bible was in Aramaic and Hebrew to begin with, then it went to Latin, then to Greek, then to Old English, now to what we have today. I also know that none of these languages translate correctly, a example of this being when you readin that "Jesus walked on the water", the word "on" could have been a mistranslations of the word "by", wich would have made more sense.

Also, Hebrew has know Vowels from what I remember, I may be wronge, but if it dosen't, that would have made for a very difficult translation. Each language also does not translate correctly, so they have to find words that are closely alike, plus some words are completely left out of some translations, so I would think that through out the times the bible we have in todays Churches would be very poor comparing it to the original text.

Also, the royalty and even some of the poor work drink and dine on Lead, we all know this is very posionis, they would also use face whitining creams that had a high Leade base to it in order to become more pale, this was more of the nobalty I believe.

Also, the books that remain missing from the bible, like the lost books of moses, and a bunch others that wont come to mind right now.

My question is, do you think todays bible is at all what it use to be, or do you think it is complete crap (no offence)?

I have read the bible KJV, I didn't care for it, I think the Zohar is much more complete :)
