What, exactly are the rules with guardian angels?

Is there one for every human, or one assigned to many humans?

And what is thier role, what are they supposd to do?

Are they STRICTLY only serving Christians?

Do they get to choose who they help, or do they just follow God's will?

Do they actually come between man and free will?

Please, I would like to know what everyone thinks.

are you talkin about New York city, or a spiritual kinda thing?

I am not aware of any scripture that supports the belief of personal guardian angels. There are angels who are guardians of areas, just as there are demons who are assigned to certain areas.

All I know is thier is 2 guarding the garden of eden ever since Adam and Eve were put out. We are told as a reminder about our conduct to everyone because you never know when you may be entertaining an angel.Paul Also spoke when he was preaching that thier were angels all about. So i would have to believe Paul that Angels are all around. Who would have to be the chosen just as Israel had a guiding angel Who acually was Yahshua. The ones who are called i would have to believe have an angel guiding them also. Those angels i would believe would leave you if you turn from the faith.The calling and the chosen is a good subject also Red. We recongize things when it goes bad but we do not recongize alot of the time when things happen and you do not really know what stopped you from crossing the street for no reason you stop and a car or truck comes flying by. So angels are sent for specific purposes and alot of the time they may be someone u do not know who needs help. Shalom...Miles

It is like in the real world. There are those people who will help you and those who will walk on by.

The term "guardian angel" could refer to anyone or anything that will come to your aid. Sometimes you can pray for help from your ancestors spirits. (The American Indians would do that.)

Personally, my own experience:

I received help from my higher self or inner self twice who intervened when I was probably almost to be killed. It was clearly an emergency and clearly a miracle as far as I am concerned.

I was about to make a left turn into a speeding truck which I did not see in the rear view mirror. I had my five year old baby brother with me. We would have both been killed.

Time appeared to stop and a vision came into my head showing me the terrible accident. This vision came not once but about ten times real fast and furious.

I even argued with the vision if you can believe that. I said, "Hey, I looked in the mirror, there is nothing coming!"

I heard my own voice answer me. It said, "Well it wouldn't hurt you to look over your shoulder." I agreed that I would.

So I did look over my shoulder, and it took enough time to save me from being hit by a fast moving truck.

Miracle #2

I was sitting in a local bar talking to friends and I heard my own voice inside my head very loud and very clear.

It said: "There is someone in my car!"

It was so very strong, I was compelled to repeat the statement. I said out loud to my astonished friends, "There is someone in my car!"

They looked at me like I was nuts. I kept saying it until I decided to get up and go check my car, but I brought three men with me.

The street was very dark and it did not look like anyone was bothering my car. I insisted we go look closer. There was no one in the front seat of my car. I insisted we open the door. The light came on and revealed a man hiding in the back seat.

I think he intended to do me harm. He lied and said he was just looking for a place to sleep. We were all so stunned at finding him there, we just let him wander off into the alley.

Because of these two miracles, I have faith that someone is looking out for me.

Aleister Corlwey believed that the Angel you speak of was actually the higher self, one aspect of the soul, not a seperate entity per say. Your body is made up of many different bodys, the ancient Egyptians believe you have 5 normal spiritual bodys, then a physical body, making 6, most new age religions today believe we all have a spirit, soul, Astral, Etheric, and higher self, the higher self is some times called the double. I don't follow theNew Age movement, I think its a bunch of rubbish and theaft from older religions, but the Astral body is your body that is on the Astral Plain, your Etheric Body is the body on the plain above the Astral, the Spirit is what goes to the After life, the Soul is what people think of as ther higher self, they call it a "higher Self" because it actually hovers about 6 or 7 inches above the body, so this body is 6 to 7 inches taller then your physical body.

Its purpose is to push you to finish your True Will, the "True Will" is what you really want to do, deep down, this entitiy will go to the point of telling you to jump into fire to get your Will done. Hope it helped.
