Enough about drunks and attempts to deny Jewish heritage,
now back to the topic of why there was war in Gaza... November 22, 2012 8:00 P.M. Why Was There War in Gaza? Hamas considers all of Israel occupied, illegitimate, a cancer, a crime against humanity. By Charles Krauthammer full story here: http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/333904/why-was-there-war-gaza-charles-krauthammer# Why was there an Israel–Gaza war in the first place? Resistance to the occupation, say Hamas and many in the international media. What occupation? Seven years ago, in front of the world, Israel pulled out of Gaza. It dismantled every settlement, withdrew every soldier, evacuated every Jew, leaving nothing and no one behind. Except for the greenhouses in which the settlers had grown fruit and flowers for export. These were left intact to help Gaza’s economy — only to be trashed when the Palestinians took over. Israel then declared its border with Gaza to be an international frontier, meaning that it renounced any claim to the territory and considered it an independent entity. In effect, Israel had created the first Palestinian state ever, something never granted by fellow Muslims — neither the Ottoman Turks nor the Egyptians who brutally occupied Gaza for two decades before being driven out by Israel in the 1967 Six-Day War. Israel wanted nothing more than to live in peace with this independent Palestinian entity. After all, the world had incessantly demanded that Israel give up land for peace. |

OK - Well now we know that Jews are real, the Ashkenazi Jews are
just as Jewish as any other Jews, that the Romans overthrew the Kingdom of David and that it was probably called the Kingdom of David because of Kings Saul, Solomon and David discussed in the bible and other writings. We now can agree that Judaism is a religion and Jews are people who follow some set of basic beliefs of Judaism and identify with that religion. We now know also that detailed genetic studies have proven that Jews from all over the world share a common genetic ancestry which traces back to ancient Israel (the Kingdom of David) which is mentioned by the Egyptians in writings dating back nearly 2000 years before Christ and that these ancient Israelites originated their own country Israel there during these times. Fine. So now we can get back to the thread topic which makes overblown and erroneous claims about how the Gazans have been mistreated by Israel. For one thing, Israel has never run Gaza or controlled it. The Gaza Strip (Arabic: قطاع غزة Qiṭāʿ Ġazzah, IPA: [qɪˈtˤɑːʕ ˈɣazza]) is a territory on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea that borders Egypt on the southwest (11 km) and Israel on the east and north (51 km (32 mi)). It is 41 kilometres (25 mi) long, and from 6 to 12 kilometres (3.7 to 7.5 mi) wide, with a total area of 365 square kilometres (141 sq mi).[1] The population of Gaza Strip is about 1.7 million people.[2] The population is predominantly Sunni Muslim. With a yearly growth rate of about 3.2%, the Gaza Strip has the 7th highest population growth rate in the world.[2] The Gaza Strip acquired its current northern and eastern boundaries at the cessation of fighting in the 1948 war, confirmed by the Israel-Egypt Armistice Agreement on 24 February 1949.[3] Article V of the Agreement declared that the demarcation line was not to be an international border. The Gaza Strip continued to be occupied by Egypt. At first Gaza Strip was officially administered by the All-Palestine Government, established by the Arab League in September 1948. From the dissolution of the All-Palestine Government in 1959 until 1967, the Gaza Strip was directly administered by an Egyptian military governor. Israel captured the Gaza Strip from Egypt in the Six-Day War in 1967. Pursuant to the Oslo Accords signed in 1993, the Palestinian Authority became the administrative body that governed Palestinian population centers. Israel withdrew from Gaza in 2005. Since July 2007, following the 2006 Palestinian legislative election and following the Hamas takeover in 2007, Hamas has functioned as the de facto ruler in the Gaza Strip, forming an alternative Hamas Government in Gaza. Hamas has ruled the Gaza strip by strongarm methods torturing and killing any open opponents and threatening the civilian population with forced adherence to a barbarous version of radical Islamic society much like in Afghanistan under the Taliban. Rather than truly democratizing their society and working on developing a non-military economy, Hamas has spent their time and effort on weapons smuggling and attacking Israeli civilians. This was done without regard for the wellbeing of ordinary Gazans who ultimately are endangered when the Israelis are forced to try to eliminate the rocket launching brigades and Hamas militant forces. Hamas also allows a number of other radical Islamic paramilitary groups to attack Israeli civilians and encourages their efforts. Thus, Gaza has become a Taliban-like entity and Hamas is recognized internationally as one of the worlds nastiest terrorist organizations. Hamas rules Gaza, preached hatred and violence and simply attacks any opposition to brutally suppress it by force. The administration of the Gaza strip is really up to the Palestinians themselves and they have a choice to live in peace or pursue war with Israel and antisemitic hatred of Jews. At this time the terrorists from Hamas are in charge and the Gazans are stuck living with them as violent masters until they have their own Gazan spring. It is a very sad time for the poor Gazans stuck with this terrorist regime. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/20/hamas-kills-suspected-col_n_2165236.html |

![]() ![]() ![]() Even your genome report states that you can't tell what a person's religion is by their genes. The problem with the term "Jewish" is that it claims to mean religion and a group of people supposedly all related. The only reason for the study is a poor attempt to claim that Jews who were born elsewhere have a right to invade a land and claim it. Its absurd. Nobody ever said you could tell someone's religion solely by genetics! What was said was that genetic studies disprove the idiotic claims of Sands that it is likely that the ancestry of most contemporary Jews stems mainly from outside the ancient Land of Israel and that a "nation-race" of Jews with a common origin never existed It is now known through the genetic studies that Sands' view is patently false. Genetic studies prove that the ancestry of most contemporary Jews stems directly from a common origin in the Mideast and that basically all Jews show common ancestry directly linked to the ancient Land of Israel and the nation-race of Jews is shown directly through their modern day descendants. ![]() The studies were done to understand the origins of people in this case the Jewish population. ![]() Actually there was no invasion of Jews in Israel. Jews always lived there and migration always occurred there but it picked up a lot when Jews had to escape Hitler and find a place to live and most of the countries of the world would not accept any more Jews. ![]() Actually the term "Ashkenazi" comes from a Hebrew word and refers only to Jews - see the website on basic judaism 101 where this question level is rated "basic". Ashkenazis are one of three major groups of Jews based on geography. The term was invented to describe one of these groups of Jews and no one else. There is no such thing as non-Jewish Ashkenazis. Ashkenazis, Sephardim and Mizrachi are all Jews from different geographic areas who have slightly different rituals. Other than that, they are all Jews who practice the religion Judaism and whom the genetic studies clearly show are related and originate from the Middle east. When you speak of the Ashkenazi of Israel you are merely talking about Jews whose ancestors are from these areas. Meanwhile you are confused about so-called secular Jews who are Jews from any of these regions who just don't go to church everyday. First of all, secular Jews are still Jews - still believe all the central precepts of Judaism but are somewhat less observant. It's like saying that Christians who don't go to church everyday are not Christian even though they believe in Jesus, go to lengths to follow his teachings but they only go to church on Christmas and Easter or for various family events. ![]() It still begs the question - why do some here always try to find ways to delegitimize some Jews and attack Israel? I think this bias against Jews in particular and also with Israeli Jews is the reason others are suspicious of the motivation especially with the long history of unjust bias and lies disparaging Jews as a form of genocidal religious hatred. ![]() ![]() Read the whole article on Ashkenazis here... http://www.jewfaq.org/ashkseph.htm Ashkenazic and Sephardic Jews Ashkenazim v'Sepharadim (in Hebrew) Level: Basic • There are several subgroups of Jews with different culture and traditions: Ashkenazic: Descendants of Jews from France, Germany and Eastern Europe Sephardic: Descendants of Jews from Spain, Portugal, North Africa and the Middle East Mizrachi: Descendants of Jews from North Africa and the Middle East • Other subgroups are Yemenite, Ethiopian and Oriental Ashkenazic and Sephardic Jews represent two distinct subcultures of Judaism. We are all Jews and share the same basic beliefs, but there are some variations in culture and practice. It's not clear when the split began, but it has existed for more than a thousand years, because around the year 1000 C.E., Rabbi Gershom ben Judah issued an edict against polygamy that was accepted by Ashkenazim but not by Sephardim. Who are Ashkenazic Jews? Ashkenazic Jews are the Jews of France, Germany, and Eastern Europe and their descendants. The adjective "Ashkenazic" and corresponding nouns, Ashkenazi (singular) and Ashkenazim (plural) are derived from the Hebrew word "Ashkenaz," which is used to refer to Germany. Most American Jews today are Ashkenazim, descended from Jews who emigrated from Germany and Eastern Europe from the mid 1800s to the early 1900s. The pages in this site are written from the Ashkenazic Jewish perspective. =-=-=-= or, read the Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashkenazi_Jews Ashkenazi Jews, also known as Ashkenazic Jews or Ashkenazim (Hebrew: אַשְׁכְּנַזִּים, Ashkenazi Hebrew pronunciation: [ˌaʃkəˈnazim], singular: [ˌaʃkəˈnazi], Modern Hebrew: [aʃkenaˈzim], [aʃkenaˈzi]; also יְהוּדֵי אַשְׁכֲּנַז Y'hudey Ashkenaz, "The Jews of Ashkenaz"), are an ethnoreligious group who trace their origins to the indigenous Hebrew speaking peoples of Canaan in South Western Asia, and settled along the Rhine in Germany from Alsace in the south to the Rhineland in the north, probably during the early Middle Ages.[5] The name Ashkenazi derives from the biblical figure of Ashkenaz, the first son of Gomer, and a Japhetic patriarch in the Table of Nations (Genesis 10). In the rabbinic literature, the kingdom of Ashkenaz was first associated with the Scythian region, then later with the Slavic territories,[6] and, from the 11th century onwards, with northern Europe and Germany.[7] The Jews living in these regions associated with Ashkenaz's kingdom thus came to call themselves the Ashkenazi.[7] Later, Jews from Western and Central Europe also came to be called Ashkenazi because the main centers of Jewish learning were located in Germany. Many Ashkenazi Jews later migrated, largely eastward, forming communities in non German-speaking areas, including Bohemia, Hungary, Poland, Belarus, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and elsewhere between the 11th and 19th centuries. With them, they took and diversified Yiddish, a High German language written using the Hebrew alphabet. It had developed in medieval times as the lingua franca among Ashkenazi Jews. The Jewish communities of three cities along the Rhine: Speyer, Worms and Mainz, created the SHUM league (SHUM after the first Hebrew letters of Shpira, Vermayza, and Magentza). The ShUM-cities are considered the cradle of the distinct Ashkenazi culture and liturgy. |

If Iran does not want the bomb then all they have to do is dismantle their underground fortified enrichment facilities and turn over all their uranium processing to outside sources. Iran could in this way assure everyone that they do not have any intention of developing nuclear weapons while obtaining as much reactor grade uranium that they could want. Iran has been offered this solution from day one but they reject it and instead work on nuclear weapons grade enrichment progress in the fortified underground installations. Actions speak louder than words. Freedoms? Iran is one of the most repressive terrorist supporters in the world and while they work feverishly on developing nuclear arms capabilities they continue to call for the extermination of Israelis when Israel really does have all the freedoms that Iran lacks. This has nothing to do with freedom - except the freedom of Israel and other countries to be protected from radical Islamic Iranian extremists. Iran should not have the freedom to fund terrorists to attack the US and Israel. Iran should not have the freedom to build nuclear weapons to arm terrorists attacking the US and Israel. Iran should not have the freedom to threaten to harm Israel (which they call the little Satan) or the US (which they call the Great Satan). Iran should not have the freedom to violently repress their own citizens, criminalize what women wear as clothing or criminalize higher education of females etc etc.. In short, Iran's freedoms should end when it comes to violent attacks and threats against others. Iran's freedoms should end when it comes to radical repression. Particularly when it comes to the development of weapons of mass destruction capability because of Iran's demonstrated history of attacking innocent people with their support of terrorist actions, the world must be vigilant against terrorist sponsors developing such horrific weapons capabilities. Iran however is developing nuclear weapons when the rest of the civilized world is intent on reducing the number of nuclear weapons. Iran is the only country in the world sponsoring antisemitic Holocaust denial conferences and threatening to wipe another country off the face of the earth. NOW that is the problem. |
