Well as far as security goes, linux and mac are the way to go...all of windows OS's have been hacked - I just hope for the people that bought Vista Ultimate (like myself and many others) that microsoft will come to their senses and offer a deal to get Windows 7 Ultimate for cheap!

I believe Microsoft extended their updates on xp till 2010, they were going to cut that off June 2009 but too many people still use xp and prefer xp. My next computer will be pre-built and have 7 on it! Most xp and vista programs work on 7!!

Most programs?.....smokin

Almost any program will work on 7, unless its a signed driver for xp or vista, then there is NO HOPE lol

I recently screwed up my Vista partition and just installed another copy of Vista over it. I lost everything I had on my hard drive. I remember hearing somewhere that it might be possible to get data from a formatted drive. Does anyone know if there's any truth to this, and if there is, how would I go about doing it?

I suppose only if you were a hard drive expert that was trained to gather data from discs than yeah you (might) be able to get that data. But Usually when you install a new partition everything that was there before is now gone. That's why you should always back up before doing anything - If you had a recovery disc you probably could have saved your vista.

If fact, the vista installation disc offers a repair...I mean, if you corrupted the installation to the point you couldn't boot then most likely that info you had was gone before you even did the re-partition.

I flash an old black guy at the old laundry mat here when i was 18. It was fun i have pictures to prove it. Something i am not proud of saying but might as well put it out there since everybody else knows it happened.

What kind of House Painter would were a tutu? laugh

A handicapped one. He was famous around the Monroe Area, I had seen him once before walk into wal-mart wearing a similar pink ballet outfit. lol

Ah, ha! I have a great laundry mat story...

I used to live down in West Monroe, Louisiana many many years ago! Anyway, I lived an apartment complex not far from a laundry mat. I went there at least weekly to do laundry.

So, one day when I go to do my laundry I see a guy walk in wearing a pink tutu, a brown wig, tights and some high heels.

Before anyone thinks anything - The story behind the guy is that he was or still is one of the greatest painters around the West Monroe/Monroe Area. He lives with his grandma and he is somewhat handicapped. He's not gay and has never been married. He's just got issues.

Anyway, I leave to go to the store and when I come back to check my laundry I see the guy had changed into a woman's suit, put on a nice wig, different high heels and dressed like (she's) ready to go to court. So - I stayed in my car while he walked out of the laundry mat...after he was a good ways away I finally went in there and found that he had stolen someone's clothes and left the pink tutu there...

I'm glad he didn't touch my clothes. haha.

Sometimes I use this website on windows vista and sometimes I use it on windows 7. Well on vista IE8 I have absolutely no problems with the website. But....when I get into windows 7 with IE8 then the website loads halfway or all I see is the header at the top of the website. So, I have to refresh between 1-3 times to view the website in 7. I also have to use the compatibility button when I can't get it to work at all.

Other than that, the site loads like gold!

lol, you are blind, maybe dumb...lol...If she really wanted you then it would be easy for her to move out of her place with him...For instance if he is still that possessive it is probably because she is still giving him either sex or leading him on...Most likely sex...She will deny it but like I said if it wasnt going on she wouldve been pissed about him being there just as much as you and found a way to move out...She seems to have a win win situation there...She'll probably ask you to hang out at your place from now on and thats just to mask the fact that he is still doing her...Use your head and make a stand...Its easy to ask a question and if she really has no plan on moving away from him then you'll have your answer...Period

This is quite amusing. well thank you for your advise but that still doesnt explain why she wanted to get me alone so bad. I still dont even know if this guy is abusive because she doesnt seem to like to talk about anything about him :(

Why would she even want to talk to you about him? Sounds like she's ****** in the head and she's using not only her ex but you as well. Her ex is the ticket to having a place to live and well you..you are her play toy.

No one deserves to be treated like that and if she really did like you the way you like her, she would change things for the better. simple as that!

Here's your rights:

Child support by law can be used for whatever you want. Pay your bills, feed your kids, buy clothes for your kids. The state and nor does your ex have the right to tell you what you can and can't do with that money.

Not quite true but the essence is correct. You rare absolutely correct in that the ex-spouse has no say or anything. However, the state DOES demand that child support be used for the child (at least most states do; I wont say every state lol). The one right the ex-parent does have if they don't like what you are spending thigns on, or if they don't feel yuo are using it for the child, is to petition the court to look into it, and the court will do so only so many times. As long as you can show that it is being used for the betterment of the child though, which very few custodial parents have a problem doing, there is never a problem, and some laces will even fine the non-custodial parent for wasting the cuorts time, and causing trouble in the relationship with the child.

Again, I am not saying ALL states do this, but the majority of them do.

Louisiana doesn't do that, Utah doesn't do that, Arkansas doesn't do that, Tennessee doesn't do that. I'm pretty sure most don't do that. Actually, when the other parents petition the courts - that's up the courts of what they want to do. Not Child support. All child support does is enforce the other parents to help pay, they don't go beyond that...

Unless that money is being spent on drugs or to feed an addiction then they don't want to hear about it.

I've been going after child support for 5 years and went through 2 custody battles in 2 years. I've checked the laws, because when I actually did child support from that piece of crap he tried to tell me what I was going to do with the money. Both a lawyer and Child support offices said he has no say.

The only time child support is demanded for the children is if it is court ordered, again, everything has to be ordered in order for that to have heirsay. There is no court order, there is nothing.

Got the Litch King expansion and made my DK on WoW. Then a week later they run the big 3.2 update patch and nerfed the poor guy... so sad. Now I'm back working on getting my warrior to 80. BTW the new expansion looks SICK!

Oh yeah, I saw the website for the new expansion - I will most likely pick up wow again just so I can try it out!

I am a single mom, my son is 5 and he knows what a "daddy" is and he has not questioned at all where his dad is. You know why? Because he gets all the love in the world he needs. But I am expecting him one day to ask when he is older of course. I will not say a word till that day comes. Because he will understand and he will see and he will be able to determine that his dad don't want a thing to do with him.

Psychologically telling your child before they ask is going to hurt them, they will feel rejected and think it's their fault. In no way do you want that to happen. You are the parent, provide them with the love and show them that you are all they need.
