first of all god is only an issue to those who believe in God, and the many people of the united states have many different religions and some have not, can you forsee a child's future no... we don't agree the end, and yes i would not want to carry a rapist child you need to be realistic and wonder how you would feel and not try to live in a little sphere where everything is okay if you're married im sure your husband would be drastically altered by this, what if you have depression issues or are already facing a chemical inbalance what would this do to you... you can think what you want but as far as im concerned we deserve the right, if you don't want it then don't take it but who are you to say that others shouldn't get it because you don't think its right.. ... if you believe in pro life fine, but don't try to make others believe that way to let the woman make the decision because we are all individuals with different lives and problems, not to mention one i didn't throw out there is what if the mother has aids? the child will have it... and will die painfully so should she conceive a child that way or put it out before it has a chance to have life... i am a realist i do not carry my head in the clouds, perhaps you need to do some volunteer work with a womans shelter, or the food bank, a soup kitchen, or something in a disadvantaged area to see why women deserve to have a choice. first of all pro choice advocates don't ahve less respect for life, what they have respect for is choice. no government has the right to tell a woman what to do with her body. Not too mention i am a pro choice advocate however i have never had an abortion and I probably never will... i can add some food for thought, what if your beautiful 13 yr old daughter is raped by someone when shes walking home from school, or is raped by a teacher or a family member and becomes pregnante would you damn her to carrying a child in school for 9 months, then when she has it will you love it, will she love it, how will it affect her emotionally since we know women who are rapped experience what men in the military experience after coming home from war. not to mention would you give it up for adoption? how do you know its going to a good home, what if the child searches you and your daughter out, and finds out its a child of a rapist, then again what if you are raped getting into your car from the grocery store or coming home from work how would that affect your marriage? The other aspect is what if your daughter becomes pregnante and maybe you're financialy able to have a child maybe not... how will it affect her mentally how will she be able to handle it what if she goes in the bathroom and sticks a hanger in her vagina and punctures the wrong thing killing herself and the fetus, what if she pays 2000 dollars for a black market abortion and the pseudo dr kills her? what if shes pregnante with her health in danger and the only way to save her is to abort the baby. What i tend to find is most of the time pro life advocates don't think about the possibilities they merely assume its women using it as birth control, not only this but they fail to care about the life after its born, like i said if you give the baby up either for adoption or maybe you give it to the state like leave it at the hospital is that joshuas law or jacobs law something like that and say they're put into an ophanage or foster care etc. how will they grow up ... it may be in a loving home,... it may be in a very unloving environment where they change homes multiple times or are never adopted... you have to think about others and not just your own beliefs... I care about life but what kind of life will it be if you have one you don't want. *************************** OMG!! I cannot comprehend your reasoning. You would hold something against a child because it is the child of rapist?? Dear God woman, a LIFE IS A LIFE!!!!!
God did NOT give human beings the right to kill a child in the mother's womb!! Being 'damned' to carry a child to birth - where in the name of God are you coming from? So, you would prefer to just kill the child in the womb, totally avoid responsibility and go about your merry way? I know women who have had abortions and it bothers them to this very minute! And you are able to foretell the future? You know FOR CERTAIN how the child, mother will feel and the type of life they both will have? You know definitely how society will feel and behave towards that child of a rapist, etc.??????? Have you ever given a thought to what GOD might think? OMG.

i honestly didn't mean it in a racist way i probably should have clarified more what i was trying to say i merely have a problem with the fact he doesn't 'embrace his whole heritage to me it seemed/seems hes trying for part of it to pull in those votes, and I know the news i watch fox has been talking about that hes a great speaker but one challenge for him this election is going to be away to talk to the black voters and to draw in black people who haven't voted before without segregating the white voters. my thing is to me obviously not to everyone the media created obama and to me he just has no experience and its hard for me to believe in someone thats only served 2 years in the senate, to see they can go from just making it in the senate to being the president of the united states, i do believe it is time for change, but i think we need smart change, and change that can continually happen and benefit the american people and im just not sure if he has the credientials and experience to make those promises happen, but as i told someone who emailed me i think we're in trouble no matter who wins a democrat or a republican. not to mention may i add the non profit organization that i work for I am the only white worker, and the children and families we help are 90% black 8 % hispanic and maybe 2 % white... I choose to work here because i care about what this organization is doing and i believe it needs it not because of the money or the race or anything else its a half hour from my home the pay is decent not great not bad but decent and no health coverage.. so please don't imply that i just said a racist comment. I think you have great questions and they are questions that i can't answer honestly i don't have the specialization in it enough to answer them and i won't try to fabricate anything. my best answer is to try to read books on it books by people with phds academic pursuits to it not faith based. If you get a faith based book you'll have someone trying to pursuade you to believe verses academics that will tell you about the religion itself, either that or try to look up phd people with specializations in this area or in ancient writings and try emailing them...

actually thats a pretty pessimistic way to look at it and I would say a wrong way.. many blacks had white supporters, many men joined in for the women's movement ( when women couln't speak at meetings they had a black man stand up and speak for them)... every movement in history was not done by only those who created it, and if you honestly feel this way i would think you were depressed... or emotionally unstable.. as i stated before every movement, every cause is not just helped by those it pertains to .... why not if they can do test for other things why not tobacco

the news caster was for it or maybe just being the devils advocate.. not sure then they had a woman on that was a gainst it i think they had like 3 callers and the first caller was for it saying that she hates having to go into places and hold her breath and smoking affects her blah blah blah, however she didn't do anything nor did the newscaster to support why this is necessary... not to mention wouldn't they have to test everyone covered under the insurance like say if a woman works there and shes a non smoker but her husband and son smoke whom are covered under her plan... would they to have to be non smokers to have the company's insurance premium go down? i dunno i found it outrageous though my only thought was how many rights are we going to give up until we have none left.

i have a degree in religious studies from the academic perspective logically speaking no religion is logical yet we all fully believe in our own religions that were taught to us. I do not claim a religion what i merely do is accept the possibility of a supreme being or the possibility that there is no supreme being ... I hope there is but what i like to ask people is if no one ever told you about your god would you know it existed? if no one told you and there was no bible..

I don't know if anyone seen this on fox news but i think it was like last week they had a segment on a company they didn't name in California who was trying to implement a urine test for smokers to which if they found nicotine in it the person would be fired. This being so that the companies health insurance would be lower..
What does everyone think of this? I personally think this is horrible to me a company shouldn't be able to do this I am a non smoker, however, i believe if we let companies continually create all these new policies pretty soon are freedom definitly won't be in existance. They also had callers ask what about obese people they reaise insurance.. so i'm a chubster and i was like hmm they have a point but at the same time that would be against the law because companies are not allowed to chose you based on race, gender, age, etc the only way they can do that is if its in need for the company which is how airlines get away with having weight requirements for stewards and stewardess' saying its a risk if they cannot fit through the isles properly. I think a company should have the right to say no smoking on company grounds.. but i don't think they have the right to limit what you do in your own free time... also why haven't they thought to do this to people who drink then since drinking is proven to be linked to other diseases... |

i wouldn't call it wild stuff ... no religion has been proven so if you think believing in 1 god that divided himself up in 3 ways and is all good and all powerful but yet now never shows himself nor does he use is all powerful aspect to make the world.. then that would be pretty wild to me than believing in a pantheon of gods and goddesses... all religions are illogical and wild, in the end what you say depends upon where you stand. aka if you're born in say the 1950s american you'll believe in this religion if you're born in 1950's in china you'd believe this, or if you're born in 1200 not yet founded by columbus you'd believe in this way... we've all been taught are religions and when we believe them they no longer seem to be " wild" but when we hear a new one... its like no one that couldn't have happened... I would belive anything until it is proven one way or the other. A lot of people belive in wilder stuff then that without proof. |
