Ive been seperated for 5, divorced for 2 years. We were dating for less than two years when she got pregnant. We got married and soon found out we both we lacking many skills that it takes to make a marriage work.

"Well things got bad and things got worse, I guess you know the tune.."

Despite the failure of the marriage we remain united in doing the best we can for our son.

I feel that if the person is good to you and is doing a decent job of being the person they presented themselves to be when you first met; then try to talk and/or work it out.

Like people have already stated, other factors come into play. How long have you been with him/her, how are they treating you?

I'm not assuming the OP is like this, but sometimes we can want the excitment, spark, thrill of a relationship more than the person themselves.

It comes down to what you want. If you're not sure then, yes, talk it out with the person.

I have more issues than Playboy amd more baggage than LAX!

I still have hope and believe in romance and true love, though. I'm good enough for that "someone special" and good enough to make it without her.

I think there are leagues. Others might call them standards or preferences. For myself, I'm not going to date someone I dont find physically attractive. I dont care if how much we might have in common or how nice she is. Shallow of me? I would rather turn a woman down than be with someone I "settled for". Said woman deserves someone who really will appreciate her.

I have not approached women(on dating sites) because they looked financially well off. Or they were better educated than me. Because I am lacking in those areas, I think : "why bother"? I have no problem admitting I have confidence issues.

We hear things like its the person on the inside, or all you have to do is try. That is very true. And we all know that looks and money and even fame cant keep many couples together.

But to the guys: when is the last time your buddy said: " I bet her SAT's are through the roof!" or "She has a banging personality"

Or ladies, when is the last time your heart skipped a beat over some unemployed guy still living at home?

Ive never seen anyone change their views on GOD, spiritual things, etc based on what someone else told them on the internet. I like to pitch in my two pennies, maybe respond to a question about my views and then leave it at that.

I know many of the things I say make people want to claw their own eyes out with frustration, sometimes. So far, the people responding to my posts have been very civil. I appreciate that.

I dont remember ever reading that Jesus had a sword.

From what I read, he would come into town then feed people, heal them, etc. After that he would teach them from the Old Testament. He would also help them understand the MEANING of the scriptures. Because the people of his day (just like us) tended to get caught up in the "letter of the law" and they would miss meaning behind those words.

People say things like: "so and so said or did that a thousand years before Jesus did" The problem with that line of thinking is that Jesus was also GOD and since GOD is, was and always will be; Jesus's actions (GOD's plan) was already known. Jesus knew what he was gonna do before there was even an earth or people.

We can find patterns in all kinds of things. Like say... 12 Apostles and 12 signs of the Zodiac.

Well there are also 12 eggs in a dozen. So? Are eggs pagan?

I think that most Pagans are good, intelligent people who only seek the truth. They hunger for righteousness and they despise evil.

There is nothing Pagan about the Bible or the good news of salvation.

Has Christianity been watered down by pagan and secular influences over the years? Oh you betcha!

Xmas =pagan Easter =pagan

But even with those obvious facts, I would say to anyone who would listen:

Dont throw the baby out with the bath water.

Christianity put Pagan traditions into their religions, Pagans didn't invite themselves and offer these things up. One example, your christmas tree. The evergreen is used during pagan ritual for the winter solstice, it has nothing to do with the birth of Jesus yet at christmas time it's all about the biggest, best decorated tree. Paganism has not watered down christianity, christians have.

You are right. I, myself, see Christmas as a seasonal holiday. There are no real Christian holidays. I dont agree with most of your OP, but what you just said is 100% true.

Chrstianity needs more wise women like you.

Why do non believers waste their time in Christian forums?

I dont spend anytime in Wiccan forums. Because I belive it to be false,a lie. Just as many people believe that The Bible, GOD, etc is a lie.

Why waste one second of your life talking to people who believe such nonsense?

Why debate a book that was written by man and is flawed if not out right false?

Me? I concider myself a Christian. I believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of GOD. 100% infallible.

You? Well you are enlighten and are not gonna be led around like a sheep!! You're educated! A free thinker!!

So why waste your time with such a foolish topic?

Sometimes I like banging my head against that wall. It makes the voices be quiet for a while...

laugh Ive always said that it's not the voices in my head, it's that they all keep talking at once!!

And yes, this is General Religion Chat, not Christian Chat or forums. My bad.

We all know my original questions were "loaded questions" Questions that I already have a theory about.

Here it is: There is something powerful about GOD's Word, aka: Jesus. People are drawn to him, even when they say they dont believe. I know many of you might reply: "No I just like to hear morons like Benofzen talk out of his a$$" Fair enough. I think that on some deep level, everyone knows that there is a GOD. The evil and hypocrisy of men claiming to be "men of GOD" has soured many on GOD himself. But yet, you(non believers) still seek the truth.

Good for you.

Evil and Sin by their true definitions are anything that is against the will of GOD. GOD does not create evil in the way that the OP is suggesting. But GOD will allow evil to come upon a person or nation if they turn away from him.

If we are hell bent (pun intended) on finding some "inconsitency" with the Bible, there are a number of places to find those. I suspect that people who make these threads are not seeking any real truth or explanation.

I'm not the type to say "I will pray for you" or " I hope the Holy Spirit opens your eyes"

I say: "How ironic that the one you dont belive in gave you the free will to not believe in him...or his Word"

Ironic? I'd call it evil, making sentient lifeforms w/ free will knowing full well that a certain percentgage will, as you say, turn away from him, and roast in Hell forever and ever.

I agree with you,in the the sense that GOD does allow things to happen that I know full well he could stop. I dont claim to understand dammnation (hell). We burn in hell (or just plain suffer) for erternity? Thats harsh! Even I say: "Why cant a person(who is not saved) just die and be gone?" That seems fair at least. There are questions that I just dont have a good answer for. I would say to you: That you, just like me, have heard the good news (The Gospel of Christ)and we have the option of accepting or rejecting that gift. So both of us cant say that GOD did us wrong or was evil to us. We both have the means for salvation.

We are here because GOD wants us to know him and to seek him out for a relationship. I also think there are very important lessons and things GOD wants us to know. But like us, GOD wants that relationship to be true, to be real. Many of us are looking for a relationship. Dont you want that relationship (and the possible love it may produce) to be real? None of us wants a robot or a slave. We want someone to know us...to love us for who we are.

Well so does GOD.

Ive only been on a handful of dates in my life. Most turned into LTR's; which means I was either lucky or have no standards.

I remember one first date where the girl smelled dirty. Not a BO smell, but kind of a musty smell. Like it was coming from her clothes and her skin.

Basic hygiene is a must.
