Did Jesus himself ever make a statement, according to the Bible, that says he was sent to save mankind by his own death being the ultimate sacrifice?

I have read the Bible, and I cannot recall this... directly so...

Anyone?

The parables within the Bible which are attributed to Jesus changed my perception for the better... permanently so...

So, I will not ever dismiss the tremendous affect that they and many other things have had on my person...

I'm not exactly sure, but according to the Bible, I think Jesus did forsee his death. I also believe it was actually after or maybe during his death that He actually revealed the Grace of eternal life through Him as a result of his death.

Matthew 26:28 my blood...is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many.

Not entirely on target, but a start, I reckon. Good question, and an interesting one.

The bible is a constant repetition of the fact that Jesus saved us through his death. His ultimate sacriface.
Because there is not greater love than that of whom gives hes life for his friends.

I think there actually are some statements in the gospels along those lines.

However, the first thing I’d point out is that we have no clue what Jesus might have actually said. All we have is the gospels which are hearsay. They have been known to have been written quite some time after the death of Jesus. So it’s impossible to know how much the man actually said, and how much was exaggeration and/or outright demagoguery by the authors who wrote about him.

Knowing how he died, they could have easily gone back in hindsight and elaborated on many things he said to make them fit in more with the story they were convinced of.

Personally I can’t believe that the all-wise creator of this universe would have stooped to the level of solving problems with blood and guts solutions again.

Since when does additional wrongs make a right?

It would be like God saying to men, “Here nail my son to a pole and I’ll forgive you of you sins”

What???

Why should God need to appease man for man’s own wrongful behavior? The idea that Jesus was some sort of “sacrificial lamb” makes no sense. This would have God trying to appease men (or the devil), but either way, why should an all-powerful all-wise God need to appease anyone?

Due to an eternal love.

and because of the sacrificial system set up in the Old Testament where a blood sacrifice was needed to cover sins. How could what Jesus said in Luke 24:47b be true without his sacrifice "There is no forgiveness of sins without repentence?"

Still looking through. Getting to John.
