According to the church, no. If you have never heard of God or Jesus, that is not your fault and you are not punished for it.

I've read the Bible through a couple of times over the years. I've an "armchair" Biblical archaeologist for years. I'm not one who can, off the cuff, readily quote verses. I do remember reading in the Bible this very same question being posed. I remember the response was to the effect; those who do not know God will make it to heaven because God has planted the knowledege of right and wrong in them. If they follow the right that God has planted, then that person will make it! I know, reading the Bible through twice and not knowing where I read somthing, my bad! Hey, someone get me a Biblical concordence!!! BobbyJ very vallid point. I've got problems with that train of thought but at the same time. I think if one is to flat out deny god it is a little problematic but i still think good deads will be sufficient |

So, if you believe in Hevean and Hell what do you think. For one to enter "the kingdom of hevean" does one have to be christian? ~~~~ To me it is substantial enough for one to have lead a good life.~~~~ you can't say you have to be a christian, just believe in God. There are to many religions out there to say you have to be a christian. I believe if you live a honest god believing life you will go to heaven |

So, what I'm wondering here.... What about everyone, say in the past, that never even heard of the bible or God or Jesus. Take for instance, the American Indians. Are they all going to hell too? it all boils down to acountability...i believe that the young babies/kids and the people who've never heard the gospel won't get punished for it because it's not their fault. that would kinda be like taking a test on a subject you have never even studying in your life... once a person reaches the age where they can comprehend the difference between right and wrong, and can grasp the idea of God and Jesus, then it's up to them to believe, and after that if they don't then i believe when they die they will go to hell because they didn't have Jesus as their Lord and Savior in their heart. |

nor work nor deeds shall get you in the Kingdom of heaven. If you confess with you mouth that Jesus is alive and sits on the right hand of God and believe in you heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved Romans 10:9 that is what the bible says, the bible was written by men though. so your saying if i was to go out and kill a whole family and never show remorse yet still believe in God and Jesus i will go to heaven...bullsh*t things can not be like that cuz that would put a lot of f*cking crazies in heaven, and a lot of wonderful people in hell.. It sounds to me as if you are a bit confused. In order to learn more about the bible, the Torah, the Qur'an, or any others it helps to read them not fear them. You can't learn anything new if you keep answering your own questions. I was an atheist until I had a life changing moment at the age of 32. I still have many questions and I will never find answers for some of them. It's funny how life works. Good luck friend |

Thank-you for getting it right and correcting my memory! It's not that my memory is fading, I can't lose something I never had! |

You are a body and a soul. Of course they drowned but their souls did not. |

Dude, i don't fear the bible. I'm a christian. I believe In 1 God with 3 Parts(Father,Son,and Holy Spirit)! As I've stated a few times now! It has been said many times that a faith that is not questioned is a dead faith... and i firmly believe this.. I mean the day i quit questioning things is the day i know i've truly lost touch with the lord. But I'm going to gracefully leave this subject alone now because the only thing i've come to know now is that good muslims/jews/buddhist/etc...go to hell... and honestly if that is how it works I want to be sitting on the couch next to them there... |

Leading a good life is good and all, but it won't get you into heaven. The ONLY thing that will get you into heaven is ACCEPTING that Jesus Christ is the son of God, and he died on the cross for our sins, so that we may enter the kingdom of the Father. Nothing else matters. |

The empty vessel makes the loudest noise.... let us quote a passages from the book of Papa Roach. this passage is from the chapter (album) Infest and the verse(song) called Tightrope.. There is a thin line between what's good and what is evil And I will tiptoe down that line but, I will feel unstable My life is a circus, and I am tripping down that tightrope Well there is nothing to save me now so, I will not look down |

Step off the rope....
you may just fly. |

LIke someone stated above, God plants the knowledge and the desire to know right and wrong in every man, and man is always given a chance...an opportunity to know Him....even in his last dying breath....no matter what his belief before. Lax....You don't know what transpires in a man's life it his last final breath.....that's between him and God. All I know is ,God loves us and came to save us....and God will even send ministering angels in that last final breath to reach man...and give him an opportunity to receive Him. No matter what man's religion. Lax....God is a loving just God...a God of great compassion and mercy and patience...so let's not draw some quick conclusions here. When we all stand before God one day, one never knows if a chance is still given...even then. Only God knows everything..not man. God's ways are higher than ours....and even if we don't always understand His ways, , God's Word still stands. |
