I'm good friends w/ my ex-husband (father of my girls) & his g/f. Took a lot of work after our divorce to get to this point.. we didn't have the greatest relationship (ever).. but we've always managed to be good friends before and a few yrs. after our divorce! No since in hating those who simply aren't meant for you.. you can only do your best to be civil (being the better person) and show respect and consideration to what is most important (children & individual happiness)

My ex is a drug addict. We get alone alright when she is clean but most of the time when she calls, she is messed up. She is usually real hateful when she is like that. So weather we get along , depends on what condition she is in.

After several months.... I'm now friendly again with my ex-boyfriend. I'm not so much with my ex-husband~ as is his choice. I think that it depends on the circumstances of the break-up and/or the divorce.

My ex just is not willing to let go of whatever anger or resentment he still holds for me. And that is not at all my problem. I do find it interesting, though, since he divorced me. I guess he is upset I did not roll over and give up custody of my son for his new family? I'll never really know for sure and I don't waste my time wondering.

My ex sister-in-law told me that my ex husband was upset that I went on with my life after he left - he thought I would just roll over and die.

I guess he overestimated what he meant to me.

given what my ex's have done to me they don't deserve my repsect or forgiveness nor friendship. they are not welcome in my life in any manner at all.

Actually Romeo ~ I lost respect for him during the relationship and I let him know it. I hold blame there. However, I do think it takes two to build mutual respect for the sake of parenting. And he is not willing to do that. It is sad. Not everyone can get over themselves.

It is funny......after all that has happened, I do not H-A-T-E him but, I really do feel sad for our Son because the kids always pay for the damages adults make.......

I pray one day he will see he is the worse friend to himself.....
