I think a "serious" relationship is just one that never stops being fun. A relationship becomes serious when you have to get a court order to stop the stalking.

i am serious , about not winding up in the same boat . did it twice ,first divorce in 1990 . left with about 450 dollars a month to live on for 3 years . 2nd running around on me 2 months after we got murdered !

I am serious. Local dating around here is kind of nil. The guys my age all want the cute younger girls & the others always are either afraid to send a message, or they are waiting for that special person to fall in their lap. They started one of those fast dating things close by, and my son said I should try that. They have them for us older folks and then they have others for the younger ones. I might have to mosey across the river for that. |

I'm very serious...but I am not wanting just 'someone'. I can wait for the someone who is right for me. If I never find him, I will have lived a happy life filled with loving friends and family.
Is that being too picky? Maybe. Am I over-looking some really terrific guys? Probably, but as someone earlier said...I'm no longer willing to 'settle'. I want someone who is compatable with me and who has interests in common with me. |

I have tried other dateing sites but really like the cool people on here.
I too believe it takes time and courage to put yourself out there,and maybe I have scared a few people off with my whineing the other nite about school but hey I think I am allowed once a year anyway

I've actually got someone from here that lives about 30 miles from me and tell me they are looking for long term. They have been to visit me 3 times now since last Sunday and we actually have dates and a great time. I'm hoping he's as serious as I am about a LTR but I've been burned so many times I'm holding my breath wondering when I don't hear from him for a while.
