During McCains speech last night, as he read his expert prepared speech, his high point of the speech for the crowd was regime change from Saddam's regime. You say so what, right, nothing new, right?

The international lawyers stated that if we went to Iraq for regime change then we are quilty of war crimes against Iraq. Hope he and his supporters realize this very valid important fact.

Why we are in Iraq

By early 2003, the status quo on Iraq was crumbling and could not be sustained. The international sanctions regime no longer constrained Saddam’s ability to spend money as he wished, and the regime was growing stronger, not weaker, under the existing sanctions. At the same time, critics around the world were demanding that those sanctions that remained be lifted. U.S. and British warplanes patrolled the no-fly zones, taking fire from anti-aircraft guns on a weekly basis. America was forced to keep troops stationed in Saudi Arabia, in an overtly hostile environment, with no light at the end of the tunnel. International pressure on Saddam was wavering, and intensified only when the United States showed a determination to deal with him once and for all. Even the renewed inspections in 2002 and 2003 took place only when Saddam was confronted with coalition troops deployed to his borders— an obviously unsustainable situation— and even then he refused to cooperate fully.

We must also remember the mockery his regime made of the United Nations Security Council. He violated no less than 17 Security Council resolutions. If the word of the United Nations is ever to be worth more than a press release, there must be enforcement.

No kidding. A politician hiring someone to make them look good? That never happens, get out of town!

As much as it might be hard to believe, "nothing new" might be a good thing. Let's approach both sides of the argument rationally and from their point of view:

The Democrats seem to believe the war is a pointless venture, wasting the countries resources and ruining the economy. The war according to them is based on lies and maintained for a reason I haven't had explained to me yet. Apparently the problems in Iraq were caused by us and "Death to America" has been a line they just came up with. (I'm sorry that was uncalled for) Their "looking out for the everyday man" and trying to get every equal everything (Well that's Hillary's View) is textbook communism.

The Republicans at least claim they believe that if we pull soldiers out of Iraq, terrorist forces will simply move in and take over again, build power and strike at us again. They've even gone as far as pitting us against each other and trying to get us to fear what might happen if the Democrats were put into power, essentially becoming terrorists themselves.

So here are your choices America, since independent candidates never win, we are stuck with Communists vs. Terrorists.

Who would you vote for?

Hey, as horrible as it sounds, we are the most powerful nation in the world, it would take the combined might of every other nation to take us in... If our leaders decided we should commit a few war crimes, hey I don't agree, but I'm not the one in charge.

Please excuse me but after reading so many posts in these forums I have concluded that my initial opinion of you was possibly inaccurate. You should contact CNN, MSNBC, and FOX with this news. It appears to have escaped them.

The international lawyers already state we are illegally there. The point here is that we are A PART OF THIS WORLD WE LIVE IN, we should be considering the world counsels and their determination of what we do to SOVEREIGN NATIONS THAT HAVE NOT STRUCK US!!!!! As in 9/11 that started the ball rolling on Saddam.

You guys cannot make it right, no matter what you spout off about. We were wrong and when and if they decide to prosecute for these crimes, it will be deserved. We cannot and should not invade and occupy countries that did not do the crime. No matter how much you try you cannot make that right.noway

It is more obvious with McCain and Bush that they depend on their scripts more than the others. This tells a person that they are not saying what they believe but what they are told is what we need to hear. It does make a difference.

Oh my God.

Hillary depends so much on her scripts, she's so emotionless and robotic, its almost funny.

Anyway, just makes me laugh that someone keeps saying something that isn't true and one day, it might be true. Well today, just isn't that day.

Or they are simply not eloquent. There IS something to be said about someone who can't read their lines well.

Well Billy boy was accused of rape and never tried. Hillary stole money in a real estate scam and was never tried. America was accused of war crimes, but we haven't been tried. So its very valid, you're assuming so much and saying very little.
