noblenan..... You make a lot of sense. I agree that our priority is securing our borders first. Then let's go after the criminal element that are here illegally since it would be impossible to deport all the illegals. Hey, here's a novel idea, how about going after the American companies that go to Mexico to recruit workers,? I dont how many of you have worked with undocumented aliens or even know one, but I have and I knew many that were promised jobs as long as the could cross the border "no questions asked"... They come here because the work is here...take away the jobs and the wont come.... Its a well known fact that undocumented workers are hired by big business yet how many are busted every year for committing a crime??? ZERO... symbelmyne, Stop making sense!!!

I think several people missed my point back there. I am all against illegal aliens using our benefits and our system, etc. the problem I had, was that a poster, I forget who now, stated specific numbers and statistics which were impossible for him/her to have had. Especially the one about illegal aliens on welfare. Yes we all know it is happening, and that they are using our system. But there are nos statistics on how many are doing so, as the government keeps it all hushed up and claims vehemently that illegal aliens do NOT receive benefits. Now, i happen to think that in the case of women coming over to have babies on this side of the border should be turned away. period. And any child born on this side of the border should not automatically be a citizen with rights etc, unless his/her parents are here legally in the first place. I also do not believe we should be providing schooling for all these kids from across the border, unless ours are being schooled first and foremost. Now I know theres a couple people who are going to accuse me of discrimination, but you know what? It's not discriminatory to expect the laws to be followed by everybody. it is not discriminatory, to expect people to be turned away if they do not have the legal right to something. Is their situation worse than ors if they stay over there? Possibly, yes. But that does not mean we have the capabilities of taking them in and such. That was me quoting the stats and yes I do have them and if you take the time to look them up you could have them too as they are a matter of public record. Published on government websites. |

symbel... oh really..well I was an undocumented worker and was charged with grand theft auto and assaulting a US Marshal..(both charges dismissed) and while I was inside I met quite a few undocumented workers who were charged with criminal offenses so it appears you don't know what your talking about...

I think the rum and cokes are starting to get to you...I was talking about the businesses that hire undocumented workers, even though its illegal and are never held accountable for their actions. I lived in the southwest for 30 years, worked in the restaurant business for 15 (one of the largest employers of undocumented workers)..I know what Im talking about.

duh...if you read it you'll see that the charges were withdrawn..the car wasn't stolen and the Marshall was in plain clothes and hadn't identify himself when he grabbed me so I dropped him....it was at 2:30 am so when an unmarked car stops you at that time one tends to be a little careful...manners?...yes they were taught to me so after I dropped him with a left uppercut I said sorry when his partner drew his weapon... but back to your post which you sidestepped...I guess you have to agree you didn't know what you were talking about huh...

I remember that I was totally shocked and said NO WAY thats right, but there it was, i'll have to go and try to find it, there was one on there that said 26 people every day die in motor vehicle crashes involving illegals, there were a lot more, i'll check, but maybe you could to. |

for comitting a crime, do some research on that please, there was a piece put out by some gov dept, to do with statistics .... anyway the long and short of it was about crimes committed by illegals. I remember that I was totally shocked and said NO WAY thats right, but there it was, i'll have to go and try to find it, there was one on there that said 26 people every day die in motor vehicle crashes involving illegals, there were a lot more, i'll check, but maybe you could to. Doc, I think what symbelmyne meant is that no potential employers of illegals are being busted for hiring them. The point I think she was trying to make is that these potential employers are complicit in luring illegals to this country, but do not face prosecution for doing so. She probably should have worded it differently.
