I suppose I should have added this in the original post but, what I said back was "As a matter of fact, I have lost quite a bit of weight since my husband left me, and am VERY proud of the way I look right now, and if I did decide to continue to lose weight, I can assure you, it sure as hell wouldnt be for YOU."

Ok, so I went out tonight with a guy I met on this site, and everything seemed to be going fine, until we decided to sit and talk for awhile before he left. We were having a perfectly pleasant conversation when he looks at me and says "I like you, I think you are a very pretty girl, but if you are willing to go on a diet and exercise plan, and get down to about 130-135 lbs, Id be willing to keep talking to you, and date you than." Am I wrong for thinking this was TOTALLY out of line???? Nah, you don't want to look anorexic. |

Sounds like the girl was the victim of a twit who paid a little too much attention to the rantings of Tom Leykis, a nationally-syndicated talk-radio host based here in L.A.
He's got this thing of his called "Leykis 101", where he claims to have the inside scoop on what to do on a date. And one of his mantras is to "treat the date like crap" (and I'm roughly quoting here) as well as a number of other things that I won't repeat here. Little do the listeners of his show know or even understand that what he's tirades are nothing more than just radio schtick and nothing more. But -then again- some people seem to have a problem distinguishing between fiction and reality, too. |

Guys like him are the reason for the whole "All guys are d1cks" mentality that a lot of women have, which is just not true at all.
 Is it just me, or are people becoming dumber and dumber every year? Maybe it's just me getting older and continuing to mature instead of leveling off at the age of 21 like most people do.
P.S. I wish swearing were allowed in the forums, because my language would be a lot more colorful, and interesting.
