We had a thread up a couple weeks ago, about how so many people here can't differentiate between to and too, or lose and loose, or there and their and they're, or....
You could go on and on. And apostrophes? Forget it. People are writing about two girl's they saw in car's with flat tire's. Third grade stuff. But then, what do you expect from people who can't write a profile with more than eleven words, or whose forum vocabulary consists of "I'm bored" -- ?? |

man, you can really see the failings of our educational system just in thread names alone. i know i'm not perfect, but damn..... toastedoranges...... People are making up crazy names because, unbelievably, when one chooses a user name, nine out of 10 times it is taken. Therefore, one is forced to make up something crazy. Additionally, you can't judge our educational system by the people who are posting. Most of us do not bother checking our posts for grammar mistakes. You fit into that category. Look at your post, you are not starting your sentences with capital letters. I am sure you know better, but you are doing what most do, and that is typing without checking proper grammar useage. |

upper and lower case has little to do with to do with grammar, this is a very common style of writting. |

but you know what i'm saying.
the you're and your. and where are all the "something" at? and yes, i'm making rediculous mistakes. way past bed time. it's times like these i end up typing words that are totally out of nowhere, however they do often start with the same letter as the word i intended. there are understandable mistakes. like i often edit and forget to read over my edit to catch the messed up spot where i spliced two ideas together. and you know, i might as well have not gone to highschool. at least not for the last two years. the place where i live, the schools were almost as challenging as the northern va middle school i went to before moving out of country for 3 years |
