![]() Trump sues WSJ, Rupert Murdoch and two reporters for Epstein letter story www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2025/07/18/trump-sues-wsj-rupert-murdoch-slander/85282651007/ Donald Trump is seeking $10 billion in damages in a lawsuit against the Wall Street Journal, its parent company, owner and two reporters claiming libel and slander for publishing an article saying the future president wrote a lewd letter to Jeffrey Epstein for his 50th birthday.
Trump filed the lawsuit in Miami federal court on July 18 and named as the plaintiffs Dow Jones & Company, News Corporation, owner Rupert Murdoch and reporters Khadeeja Safdar and Joseph Palazzolo. At issue is a story published July 17 describing a letter from Trump that the Journal wrote was part of a leather-bound birthday book with dozens of other letters that was presented to Epstein in 2003. Trump's letter ends with “Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret,” according to the Journal. I think this is funny, because: 1. WSJ & Rupert Murdoch knew Trump would probably sue, so they definitely took care to get the story right. 2. The WSJ article clearly states Trump's objections, but also clearly states the evidence. 3. If Trump really is sick of people bringing up Epstein, it's not like suing will make the story go away 4. Trump posted something about making Murdoch testify, but worse for Trump is getting him recorded for deposition. 5. Murdoch controls Fox News, so we'll see how it goes after so many prime-time stories about Epstein with Trump 6. Even if Trump was right (he's not), does anybody see $10 billion in damages to Trump? I don't. I'm betting this never goes to trial, and that Trump's withdraws, instead of Murdoch settling. |

Wooh. This didn't take long...
White House retaliates against Wall Street Journal over Trump-Epstein story www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/white-house-retaliates-against-wall-street-journal-over-trump-epstein-story/ar-AA1J1wCS?ocid=BingHp01&cvid=4b9228aab34f41d0e56a22915234fef5&ei=20 The White House on Monday excluded The Wall Street Journal from a pool of reporters covering President Donald Trump's upcoming visit to Scotland, after the newspaper reported that he wrote a bawdy birthday message to his former friend, alleged sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
So much for transparency, huh? The Trump Administration really is a clown show. |

Yes, the transparency is the WH reported they would be left out. Biden’s team would have left out Fox News and say nothing about it. You need to learn the difference between transparency and cover-up. Which is what the dems are great at.. until now , Trump will enjoy another win in that civil suit. Than he can sit back and watch Obama team be supeanead and get their days in court..

Obama-appointed Florida judge, Darrin P Gayles, will preside over Trump's $10B suit against Murdoch and WSJ, and the malignant child will lose again.

Hah. That would be hilarious if Trump wins, because the WSJ has become a MAGA tabloid, but it'll also mean that Trump with his incompetent lawyers will sit through hours of recorded depositions under oath, and Trump's mind is so gone, he can't even tell what's real, anymore. Can you imagine the legion of sanctions against him for perjury? I can! |

This is really funny. The WSJ and Murdoch certainly knew Trump was going to sue, so you can bet they made sure everything was legally sound before publishing. The article clearly presents Trump’s objections, but still backs it up with evidence.
If he really wants people to stop bringing up Epstein, suing is the worst thing to do it keeps the story alive. Also, it’s ironic that he’s talking about getting Murdoch to testify, because the depositions could be very bad for him. Also, Murdoch owns Fox News, so it’ll be interesting to see if they support him or side with the WSJ after years of prime time Epstein mentions. And $10 billion in damages? That’s just ridiculous. I doubt this will ever go to trial he’ll probably drop it once it stops being a headline. |

Do you ever get tired of being WRONG..and your doing it again..LOL. Incompetence is the definition of liberal democrat. |

There are the 34 felony convictions for fraud, and can you name even one case that Trump's won with Alina Habba as his lawyer? |

He won a lawsuit against cnn and their cover up of Kamala interview. And by him winning the presidency is a victory in itself after all the made up BS lies you democrats leveled upon him. The rest of the country know and expect you dems to be the devisive a** holes you have become because of your TDS. Not a serious one in the bunch.

I am not a Dem and see all the BS coming out of Dumb Trumps mouth. He is getting crazy, literally. So much to Biden and his decline while in office, Dumb Trump is much worse. |

Trump's case against CNN was dismissed back in 2023. www.cnn.com/2023/07/29/politics/trump-cnn-big-lie-defamation-lawsuit And sure, he "won" the election, no small thanks to the billionaires who helped him so they wouldn't get their taxes raised. But my question above was not about the election, but rather court cases. Trump's losing most of his. |

My bad. CBS is the outlet Trump won against. Columbia univ. Trump won. And WSJ will settle. The deportations can keep going on, another win. And now he has won in the conspiracy theory of the Russia collusion hoax , proven that Obama pushed the fake dossier on the fisa court. So much for his legacy…

And now he has won in the conspiracy theory of the Russia collusion hoax , proven that Obama pushed the fake dossier on the fisa court. So much for his legacy… CBS settled because they have a multi-$billion merger in the works and they knew Trump would abuse his official powers to stop the merger out of spite. That's not a court win, but a big, fat bribe CBS paid. Similar story for Columbia University. It was Trump weaponizing the DOJ against the university for $millions so that he wouldn't stop $billions in funding research, just so he could push his agenda. Of course Congressional Republicans are blind to abuse of office when it's a Republican doing it. And no, there's no evidence Obama or Biden pushed the Steele Dossier. Congressional Republicans spent years trying to make that connection and failed. |

Distractions, distractions, distractions. If they was anything to incriminate Trump in relation to Epstein, would not the Dems us it against Trump during the Presidential race and finish his political comeback once and for all?
The key is here is, did he had sexual relations with under age girls? Was he involved in child or human trafficking? Did he went to the island and committed crimes? Not who was on his plane. Not who was invited to his parties and gatherings. As an elite businessman like thousands around the world like him he will move in influential circles and everyone wants to be his friend. Then you Epstein, a confirmed Mossad spy sent to infiltrate elist circles, cater to their vices and blackmail them. Unless there is hard core evidence like in Prince Andrew case who eventually was stripped of his title, everything else is just speculation and mud slinging at this point. You are seen talking and photograph with your next door serial killer neighbour doesn't make you an accomplice. Thirdly, in a past interview, Epstein's lawyer was asked point blank if Epstein had anything on Trump. Epstein reply was, no, he is clean. Why would he have a reason to lie? |

It was hidden from the investigations.. Just wait the truth is there now, we just have to get the Trump haters to open their mind and accept it. |

No, we know the new information is the same as the old information because when DNI Tulsi Gabbard tried to make her case on Fox, and was asked what the new information was, all she could say was "You'll have to read the report." She has nothing new. She's just doing all she can to to distract from the fact that Trump won't release the Epstein docs as previously promised. Hey--look over there! Squirrel!! Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! Etc.. |
