Just curious what everyone else is experiencing. When I am looking up profiles nowadays, the ones I am interested in, there are so many new ones. Only one picture and absolutely no context in writing.
I know many people post empty profiles but that has increased tenfold the last couple of month.
Is it just me?

Scammers do not invest a lot of time in building a lengthy profile.

Well, I think that Mingle might have implemented AI and that software is posting pictures. Makes sense now after I read last week that most moderators are gone, meaning being fired.
AI can be a good thing and also a bad thing.

I spend time searching Men Profiles and most are empty even the Men who message me. I do not communicate with a man with No info on profile. Search does not work anymore I tried several times and Same Men pic. show up miles away. lol
I know this site does not match up people but it is Free. :)

Uh, the moderators were never fired, we ended up
quitting when we saw how things were being over-run
with scammers several years ago.

We revolunteered several times, for instance, when
another dating site went down a lot of their
people came here..we helped to get them adjusted.
I hope.

It is a lot of work..and people resent you mightily,
but it is also satisfying to get some kind
of order that people like to visit and return.

Since then they did indeed let all the admins (in The
Philippines) go and it does not look like
they will be replaced.

Yes. I was here in 2007-2009 and this place was jumping! Lots of fun chatting in the forums. Many more real people meeting in person, real dates. I met the woman who became my wife in 2009. She passed in 2024. I came back just to see what’s up here, it’s very sad now. I did find some poetry we had written to each other and save it. When this paid subscription is up, I won’t be coming back. We used to laugh at Plenty of Fish, Fish is looking good right now.

All the sites ebb and flow, depends on who is chatting, makes a lot of difference.

You are right, it used to be a hoot reaching its zenith in around 2010.

Scammers use it now and administration is flighty.
A return of the old days is always expected but rarely happens...we can but hope.

I have noticed that, and when you think back 10 years or more, most people did create more of a profile a few lines at least including photos. Maybe it is a recent trend, just post a photo and minimum information on a number of dating sites, to see where it goes.

Yes , for sure it was a lot more fun on the forums years ago ...and there were cute moderators who made sure it stayed that way !!!
Now the scammers have taken over and along with the many interruptions, the fun has disappeared , and so have the posters .... but the site is still Free....
