If you are not going to actually post on the topic, please go study puncuation and remedial English in general.

Once again that was funny!!laugh

Did you mean later? With one "t"?

Here is what I think you meant: "Laugh now, cry later".

Does that sound right? I actually wheeled my wheelchair (I think I might be feeling like I might be getting "perioded" and you can't be too careful, you know) over the the bookcase to get my dictionary.... oh darn. I could've simply spell-checked right here on my computer.

Second request to stay on topic.. I am done on the ground, basement? Whereever your "level" is. I'm good in my chair, wheelchair, that is.

I would say that I really like that Edwards's stance on working to reduce both poverty and big business. If we actually taxed America's coporations and gave that money to the poor, it might have a tremendous impact on our nation's poverty level. Of course, not giving billions away to other countries might help, too. But I do admire a democrat who can say both of those things. It's just too bad that he will be one in a pool of thousands who disagree if he becomes elected, but I'm all in agreement.

He kind of seems to be the lesser of the evils to me. Although I do believe that big business is extremely important to our economy. I also believe that the government needs to assist the big business money to dwindle down to the middle class/poor class.

the skinney......

The U.S. is not at war for oil. We went in there for WMD. If you want to discuss that, start another thread.

Halaberton is not owned by the Bush family. It is the Soud Family from Saudi. Our VP was an officer of the company, and has stock/shares, which were put into a blind trust with all profits going to charity.

I don't know of any connection between Bin Laden and Halaberton. Please explain and cite your proof.

Please cite proof as to how Bin Laden contributes 8 to 10 per cent to America's economy. I never heard that one.

Women are too emotional? What women ---- any particular age, race, nationality, creed, religion, political persuasion, or are you putting all women into this mix?

Are you actually referring to a woman's particular time of month? If you are, this is not the proper place to do so.

Women lie? So do men. It goes with our human make-up.

This is a political forum -- please keep the racism out of it. There is no need to play/present the race card anywhere or anytime.

So what about on the Republican side of things. Who will be our option on that side of the ticket? I have been hearing a lot about Ron Paul recently.

FreshMountain--- I can't join in here with any positive intellectual conversation, but I'd like to say I was really disappointed in Fred Thompson's political platform. His character on TV and his personality seem to be the same. He actually was the attorney who ran the Watergate hearing and he seems like a guy I'd want to watch a football game with. Just very "tell it like it is". I'm just so very disappointed that that means, "I'm keeping things just the way they are" and that he is a staunch conversative Republican. He was the only candidate I'd considered, due to his attitude, but then I learned where he stood. I only even looked him up because I had hopes that maybe he would at least be a liberal republican and not make any human rights changes I couldn't live with.... but no. None of the others even interested me. But as a liberal democrat, that's not a shocker!

OK - I'll say it. Obama is lame. Hillary is lame and Edwards is lame and weak. I despair for this election. The Iowa Democratic speeches were uninspiring polito-babble saying absolutely nothing further than:

"I read the polls and I have very little additional to add"
"I believe in change and I am used to GOP ridicule."
"I want change too and I have vision."

Wow. If that's the best the Dems can muster then Hail to the new chief...John McCain....aieeeeeee

MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell reported that Hillary Clinton is doing so poorly after the Obama loss that she's been busing in people to support her from out of state. Mitchell claims that at a recent Hillary rally in New Hampshire, many of the attendees had license plates from New York.

Tim Russert, another MSNBC news reporter, confirms what Mitchell stated, saying he was also in New Hampshire. Someone told him to go out in the parking lot and check out the license plates. Russert saw the same thing -- out of state license plates.

Apparently, Obama is drawing the crowds away from Hillary. So she has got to bring in supporters from her home state and anywhere she can get them.

I have a serious question -- when these people are brought in from out of state, I realize that most certainly their expenses are paid, but are they given a "few extra bucks" to make it worth their while? If so, how much money are they given?
