I had to turn a guy down lately: zero chemistry and he came across as super flaky. I ended up kind of deceiving him letting him believe I wasn't over my x

A couple of months ago a guy in a store parking asked me to go out for dinner and I just said, "No thank you". It's easier to do that when you are older.

You two have the right idea of turning men down by saying “no, thanks” and there was no chemistry. If you feel nothing it’s right to turn them down and move on until you find someone who you feel a connection with:thumbsup: .

I've been single for some time now, but seem to turn down alot of pple.
either they are too young, too old, just looking for sex, no job, no car...
At my age, I just want a grown up to spend quality time with...

I oftentimes have good activiy partners and I am not really attracted to these Men for a Relationship or marriage.
It is fun to just enjoy doing things I like together.
I'm referring to men I meet in person not Online.

Being on more than one sites helps for those who are seeking good exclusive relationships. I have had a few in person dates but they traveled, and I was not interested in moving where they lived Miles and miles away from my area. :)

Looking for a marriage partner online would be hard for me at my age. I am not looking online for that.
I have had 2 proposals I declined.

Me too I've been single for a few years as well. I tend to turn guys away because I'm at a point in my life where I'm looking for exclusive relationship and guys these days only want to hook up with u cause they looking for casual sex . I find it difficult to find men who are serious bout dating

There is no reason to lie - lying is not turning a person down - you must think highly of yourself! Don't be a coward and tell him - how difficult can that be - unless you led him on to get what you wanted... Just like women expect a man to tell the truth - the same goes for men! Be better! Stop lying!

.... the woman clearly stated she deceived him - at no point did she let him down - just flat out disrespectful!

I feel like it's best to let someone know you're not interested, if your not interested in the person.

I don't feel like it's wrong or anything if you use a half truth, not a lie, but halfway to the truth...

And I feel it's nice to do so without demeaning, derespecting or offending the other party...

At least the other person can move on, and leave you in peace too...
