I'm happy my girl -my youngest- waited as long as she did.
It came up before when she was around 22-23, living in the US and married. But she wasn't truly happy in the US and certainly not a happy marriage. So I am truly glad it didn't happen then.
She came back home to our country in 2018, needed time to find her feet, a house, a job etc etc. So even when she met her current partner at about age 26 she wasn't ready yet, nor was he.

Now she's 29, they've got registered partnership (basically same as marriage), their own home, cats, puppy arrived last week, 6 chickens, good solid jobs, are totally happy together, and they both felt ready for a baby.
In essence she put her own growing desire on hold because he wasn't ready until recently, which I praise her for!

It will come for you too at some point :) Enjoy where your kids are right now! Time goes so fast!

It's beginning to sink in more and more now that I bought the first baby clothes this afternoon.
Looking at all those sweet little things... I wanted to buy the whole frigging lot, hahaha.

I'm going to see my girl and her man tomorrow and I wanted to have a pressie for them, hence me buying them today.

Then on the way back I got a really cute card to congratulate with the pregnancy and I was about to burst in tears in the middle of the shop. I had to fight them back, I'm so darned emotional! I felt like telling everyone there that I was going to be a grandmother, hahaha.

Just now I was writing a sweet message in the card, and again almost crying.

Probably going to cry tomorrow too when I give the pressie & card, hihi.

It is becoming more real for sure!
Over the moon filled with happiness & joy which
for me does come with tears, lol

That's absolutely amazing news! Congratulations Babies are awesome blessings! I always feel when you hold one (even if it's not your own), you feel absolutely nothing but wonder and love.
