It's now pretty clear that Russia will invade the Ukraine. It must be serious since Biden dispatched our foreign affairs guru V P. Harris to Europe... God knows she is one to get a job done............
but anyway.
We are warning Putin of massive sanctions . massive. ones.... that will cripple Russia. But maybe its just me but I don't think Putin is worried.. at all. I think they have calculated the " sanctions " every way possible and its not a deterrent. Actually I think that if we involk these sanctions we will start to get hit with wave after wave of cyber attacks..from Russia and maybe even China. And we have all seen what just a very small number of these attacks can do. Of course Russia will just say " we didn't do it"..same for China.
I wonder if Biden still thinks it was a good idea to give Putin a list of companies and entities that he does not want hit by cyber attacks when they met in the summer. I am sure Putin handed that list to the " appropriate department " at the Kremlin.
I don't think Bidens administration is strong enough or prepared enough. This is a man who admitted to not being ready for Delta or Omnicron ...does anyone really think he is prepared for cyber attacks?
nope...not me
hold on folks, this may be a rough few months coming up

Russia already commits hundreds of cyberattacks each year, and while the pace and severity may increase, it's not like they were destined to go down. That's how cyberattacks work. They only get worse and more frequent.

and when we levy sanctions on them the cyber attacks then are geared towards inflicting the same amount of " hurt". or more..on us.
they can take down our oil distribution, electrical grid water c hospitals financial institutions. ect, ect .
Joe's not ready. or strong enough for Putin.

Joe wanted to go to Delaware this weekend ( like he always does), his handlers said " no. Joe have to stay at the WH this weekend. And world leaders met in Europe to discuss the Ukrane situation and who do we send... Harris.
Not exactly a person who knows how to secure boarders.

What I don't understand is why Biden gave Putin list of 16 critical infrastructure entities 'off limits' to cyber attacks.

Putin should have been given a list with one thing on it.....EVERYTHING IS OFF LIMITS and attacks of ANY KIND will be met with FORCEFUL retaliation!!!!!

Because he' an idiot and has learned very little during his 50 years in Politics. Sad, but true. Harsh, but true. He'd have trouble running a local high school, let alone an entire country/world.

V.P Harris when asked
" absolutely the sanctions can stop Putin . in the next breath she said. " but he has already made up his mind"....
the puppet show is on world display...again

No, because the US also conducts cyber attacks, and the list was a modest attempt to moderate the threat a bit. To the extent that politics had anything to do with it is what the committees had to contribute to the requests, and what voters would accept. Good luck attacking a country over a suspected cyber attack, given that many cyber attacks also look like software/hardware bugs, and the origin of the attack often isn't certain.

I probably will vote for Biden in '24, and no, I don't have a Biden bumper sticker, but I did make the maximum donation to his general election campaign, even though I'm registered Republican. Trump sucked that badly!

newsflash Mort....he ain't running in 2024. I mean really...be honest ...look at his failures in 1 year. Do you think the country can take 7 more years if that
Do you honestly believe his handlers would let him
in 7 years he will be in the Shady Oaks rest home getting his meds in a paper cup.

Seven more years of not manipulating the markets? Not abusing his office? Not employing his children, or un-qualified friends in his cabinet? Seven more years of non criminal governance? Seven more years of not crying like a baby over the made-up crisis at the Southern border? Yeah, that'll be awful.

Seriously, though, I probably misstated my answer above. I'll probably just vote for the candidate other than Trump in '24. Maybe I'll vote Republican in the General, if Trump's not on the ballot.

With Biden it will be seven more years of open borders, seven more years of half empty shelves at the grocery stores, seven more years of extremely high gas prices, seven more years of inflation, seven more years of indoctrination of our kids education, seven more years of the Biden family corrupt dealings, seven more years the media lie to cover -up for most inept and corrupt administration ever, seven more years of idiotic foreign policies, seven more years of indecisive actions which makes our Allies have less trust in the US having their back. Seven more years of this kind of management might push us past the point of no return. …Biden Must Go

Seven more years of this kind of management might push us past the point of no return. …Biden Must Go

1) The president doesn't control inflation. You didn't know that? If he had the power, he'd dial it right down to 1-2%. If Republicans would actually work with Democrats we could pass bills to bring it down, but they made it clear, early and often that their only plan is to not work with the Democrats, and to work against the President whenever they can.

2) If your store has half-empty shelves, then I suggest you ask the manager. I'm not seeing half-empty shelves here in California. Are you shopping in a Russian food store? Maybe it's a thing there to sandbag the economy to make the current government look bad?

3) Corrupt administration? Compared to the last guy who appointed his relatives and campaign contributors--having actual, unregistered foreign agents on staff and then doling out pardons when they got caught, Biden looks cleaner than a Boy Scout.

4) If allies distrust the US it's because of Trump's shenanigans, like breaking the nuclear treaty with Iran and abusing NATO members. Biden did a good job of rallying our allies to support Ukraine.
http://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2019/12/at-nato-summit-trump-abuses-americas-closest-friends/602959/

5) "Open border" is a fake controversy. We still have Border Patrol and the "caravans of immigrants" is a Republican hysteria. They're not illegal if they turn themselves in to CBP and apply for asylum.

I'm OK with getting a new president in '24 if the Republicans can stop following the wackadoos like Trump and his ilk.

because you choose to ignore the obvious , you also choose to show how little you actually observe or notice. People are NOT happy w/ the way things are going in this country. I’ll give you credit for the twisting of the 5 talking points you stated. Which are BTW completely false and without merit. Policies set forth by the president effect the economy and this president s policies are causing massive inflation for everybody.. if we have people and drugs coming into this country unabated then you have open borders. The president of Ukraine rallied the world around his country definitely not Biden he’s been late to act against Russia or Putin.and why would the republicans work with democrats to crash the economy w/build back broker. Biden says buy American. I agree so let’s start with American energy. Drill baby Drill.

Yes. Biden's approval is barely above Trump's average approval. He's going to have to turn things around if he wants to get reelected!

I don’t remember trump ever being that low in the polls. 72% think this country is heading down the wrong path. That is all joe Biden’s doing. Show me where trumps numbers were ever that abysmal.

Drill baby Drill.

they are, just not as much here.
biden is importing roughly 800,000 BBLS of oil from russia a day. with no sanctions out of the white house.
but there are coming off the trade market from the buyers who have stopped in trading russian oil. no further orders are being placed and the russian flagged Tankers contracted for US deliveries are remaining here once off loaded.
thats not biden either, but the US free market refusing to do business with putin..

the quote below is from CNN:

Russian oil has not been directly targeted by the West’s crushing sanctions on Moscow — so far, at least. In fact, the United States and Europe have gone out of their way to avoid hitting Russia’s fossil fuels.

But the market is taking no chances when it comes to Russian oil. Traders, shippers, insurance companies and banks don’t want to touch the stuff,
This means that a considerable amount of Russian oil has been effectively sidelined — precisely what the West didn’t want to happen. Prices for oil and gasoline have skyrocketed.

“This led to a de facto ban on Russian oil,” despite the lack of sanctions preventing its export.

https://www.mayberryinv.com/gas-price-movement-november-5-2020/

On November 2, 2020, it was noted that, “the U.S. average regular gasoline retail price decreased more than 3 cents to $2.11 per gallon on November 2, 49 cents lower than the same time last year.” The East Coast price decreased more than 2 cents to $2.07 per gallon, also, the Gulf Coast price decreased almost by 5 cents $1.79 per gallon. The Midwest price decreased more than 4 cents to $1.97 per gallon, the West Coast price declined greater than 1 cent to $2.77 per gallon and the Rocky Mountain price decreased more than 2 cents to $2.22 per gallon.

https://www.gasbuddy.com/go/gas-prices-2021-year-in-review

December – Highest gas price on Christmas Day ever recorded

To round out the year, 2021 set a new record for the highest gas price ever recorded on Christmas Day. By about two-tenths of a penny, at $3.26 per gallon, the national average on Christmas Day surpassed the previous record set in 2013.

------------

I just got gas yesterday at $3.89 a gallon. The price of gas has obviously increased since Putin's invasion of Ukraine but to blame the high prices entirely on the Ukraine invasion and the supply of Russian oil isn't correct.
All anyone has to do is look at the time line to see when the increase of gas, and oil, to know that the current administrations policies on fossil fuels has cause a dramatic affect on prices. The policies also can be seen in the cost of natural gas prices.
The people who are suffering the most are middle and lower income people, the people Democrats say that ONLY THEY care about. Limousine and Learjet leftist "liberals" can absorb the cost of higher energy prices with little to no impact on their life styles.....the same can't be said for middle and lower income people.
