Do it, for the heck of it, and then decide when you get it. Ive been my mom's sole caregiver since '19. I honestly dont want to tap into her long term care benefits until it is necessary. I can handle caregiver burnout. (Im well passed that stage.) I want to be respectful of her finances, stocks, etc. Memory Care places are expensive as hell. Also have a sibling that isnt on board. They are POA. Im secondary. As far as the job: I do not have experience in one aspect they prefer but make up for it via the American Sign Language I do know and willing to continue my education in that aspect. I have been looking for similar jobs in other states as well. Keeping an open mind.
