Well that sucks you couldn't see the museum, or other stuff... oh well... your final destination will have plenty to see and do.. It was still cool even though I couldn't go inside. There's a couple museums in Rock Springs, the WWCC Natural History Museum, and a historical museum. I want to at least go to the Natural History one, they have dinosaurs And there's a couple nice parks. For sure if you're able! I'd do both of them if possible.. |

I'll be there for two days so it shouldn't be a problem. I want to do nature things though too. But it's only 4 hours from my work place, so I can always go back there for a two day adventure if I want. |

Dee, it's nice and sunny today. Traveling into Wyoming was absolutely amazing. the energy as I entered the foothill areas perked me right up. I got all teary eyed from the beauty. I stopped at the rest area where they have a Lincoln monument, got pics of that and the mountains. I'll post them later.
Just stopped for some lunch and a little break. Then I have about another hour and a half to drive. Hope the sun comes out for you soon |

Are you there yet? Yep, I'm in Rock Springs. But I'm leaving tomorrow, lol. I want to get to Jackson, it's a lot closer to my workplace, only 40 minutes rather than 4 hours. I got a cute little motel room there, and it has a hot tub Jackson is about 3 hours from here, so I can head out around 9am, after breakfast, and do some sight seeing along the way. I have to take a county or state road, so there will be lots of opportunity to stop and take pictures or explore. Not so easy when I was on the Interstate. |

This is a view from the Summit Rest Area on Interstate 80 east of Laramie, Wyoming. Absolutely beautiful as I was driving down that road to this rest area. I have a front view, but this shows the other side of the valley. The Lincoln Monument stands 12.5 feet tall and is resting on a 30 foot tall granite pedestal. Huge! And yes, there's snow here |

Though I'm not sure the highway patrol would appreciate me doing so, I might cause an accident |

Day 11
Just a couple days left on my road trip, time sure did fly by. I toured around the little town I'm in yesterday. I was able to pull over at the top of a hill and take photos of the town. It's breathe taking here. I had dinner at a cute little hamburger place called the Chill Grill. It was set up like an old fashioned soda shop. They had pictures of Elvis and Marilyn Monroe, and a few others from that time era. Reminded me of Happy Days, lol. I, of course, had the traditional burger, fries, and ice cream soda |

Great pics River! Thank you for sharing Thanks Delightful, and you're welcome I'll be going to Jackson today for my last two nights before going to my workplace. It will be nice to relax and get a little more adjusted to the altitude. It's not as rough as when I went to the YMCA in Colorado, a couple thousand feet less, but I'm still feeling it a tad. Hopefully I'll get a bunch of scenic pictures along the way. |
