Found out that this movie has quite low ratings which I do not understand as it's an excellent movie! I've watched it several times, it never bores.
Apparently it's because the cost were high and the initial earnings at box office relatively low.
I'm guessing this may be the result of people not being interested in culture?
The Tao Tei are a real Chinese legend, not fantasy.

As a whole, worldwide box-office, it did well but for some reason US filmmakers are only interested in US box office.

In any case, it's an epic movie!

Still a great movie, even after all these years! And certain scenes always make me cry, hotdammit.

Groundhog Day (1993)
Phil Connors is the arrogant and egotistical weatherman for local station WPBH-TV Pittsburgh. He has disdain for those with whom he works as well as for his viewers. But he has the most disdain for Groundhog Day held in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, which he is to cover for the fourth time in his career, this year with Rita and Larry, the station's new producer and cameraman respectively. When an alien race called Mimics invades and destroys Europe, London is the last resistance in the Old Continent.
