Topic: Do you Cry / Tear Up Easily? | |
---|---|
I am some sentimental old git Tears of joy, when one of my football teams wins an important match, or my parents have good news about their numerous surgeries. Tears of sadness when somebody in one of my FB cat groups has to send a cat over the rainbow bridge. And I still can't watch Lassie without crying. Sometimes it's a good thing to be alone isn't it?! It always make me a li'l awkward when I tear up or cry when someone's around. For instance, I also teared up when my daughter showed me these veterans & healthcare workers protecting protesters. The beauty of that moved me deeply. And then I'm sat there with watery eyes, and she sees that... awkward... hihi. I am not really alone, my cats are a great company indeed. They know when I am down in the dumps and they cheer me up. And they have seen a few tears alright. |

I love spoiled rotten gals because they don't know how to control their emotions and cry everytime they don't get their way. It is so much easier to read their mind... we all know how hard it is to read a woman's mind. I don't think most women can read their own mind Maybe you could stick to the topic. You can always start your own rant topic. And watching Bambi might be of help.... --->>> |

I have to admit that I am very tender-hearted and get teary ๐ฅฒ especially when it comes to watching โsappyโ movies, and the โsoapโ I used to watch(the Young and the Restless), I donโt watch it very often these days The one thing that really makes me want to cry my eyes out is the TV commercial for the ASPCA about abused and neglected animals I have to change the channel when it comes on! |

Eeyore, for example I think Bambi was the first ever Disney I got acquainted with, at first via Viewmaster only. I loved it!! |

I am a pushover for a good romantic movie or a tear jerking movie. But I am a good actor too. When the tears start flowing I will fake a sneeze and get my hankie out and fake wipe my nose while at the same time wiping the tears away. Academy Award time.

And you know wot, happy to hear of another man who can get emotional this way. I like a man who hasn't got his heart under lock & key :) |

Another thing which can make me cry is listening to certain songs at certain times. Some songs hit me hard. Some singers and guitar work bring a tear to me.
Especially when the talent is extreme. Certain blend cause me to cry. Like soft guitar with blending sax, harmonica or voice. Bagpipes done well can make me tear up. I've noticed when I tear up watching movies its because I tend to stare too long at the screen. This happens more frequently with watching at night in a dark room with only the TV screen lit. May also explain why I tear up in movie theaters. Unchecked anger can make me cry if it gets away from me, usually when I can see no solution. My children's life problems and their failure to correct them can make me cry out of helplessness. Funny thing tho, I seem to never cry for myself anymore. |

I just received a few packages from my son. A few years ago I sent him a bunch of keepsakes and photos for safe keeping.
Yes, I cry easily, with tears of joy and tears of sadness. With movies... I don't watch a lot of really sad movies because they affect me so deeply. When I'm watching a movie, I tend to escape so far into it that it's like I'm right there in the mist of the scenes. It's hard to explain, haha. But I end up feeling what the actors are feeling, whether it's sadness, joy, fear, excitement, etc.. Music effects me the same way. There's certain songs/music I won't listen to because of the adverse effect it has on me. I listen to a couple spiritual songs every morning, the same ones, and I inevitably tear up each time I listen to them, with tears of joy. |

I cry like a baby, anywhere, anytime.
I cry at inappropriate times..church, funerals, weddings. I have absolutely no control over it. Once so moved, the tears just flow. I am sure some use it as a technique, I wish they could tell me how they do it ;-) |

I have really bad sinuses and allergies.
Sometimes it looks like I'm crying when I really am not. I keep tissues handy all thru the house and car. I also keep sinus and allergy meds handy. If you are shy about crying, complain about allergies and sinuses. Works better if you have a history of a leaky face tho. |

I'm happy that there are quite a few people that are the same with this :)
So how do you feel if you're with a relatively new partner / new person your dating and having to cry during or after a movie? When that happens to me -which is often- I tend to think, "Boy am I now glad to be single!" haha. Do you just cry freely or try to hold it back? |

dang ..... if my date/ new person I am with starts crying for whatever reason, first I take the blame and then cry with her .... hate to see her cry alone ..... but also because I would think... wow ! we have this in common!!!!

I explained, no problems...done deal. |

I can go through hell and not cry for myself, but sad movies get me every time. I think they tap into uncried tears about other things, but mostly for others.
I understand this life is the process by which we are made strong in doing good (some later than others) -and that all will be made right, so I really do "count it all joy" -even if it is not joyful at the time. There is no time to cry all the tears the world warrants -so might as well use the time making happiness as much as possible. |

my mom was always crying watching tv...p.s. 5 years ago i cried at my break up and hardly ever cry so for a month or more i was really weepy...i think i broke out of the family stoicism at that time...p.s. my dad lived to be 81, never saw him cry, nobody did as far as i know....very happy jolly popular guy mostly but i think the rest of the family that he was a bit much that way... |
