Thinking... that was a LONG afternoon! But... I DID IT!!! Checked the oil before leaving. On the way put air in the tyres, and holy cow, that was necessary! (I knew, could feel it) Then almost panic attack to go through a 6,6km tunnel, but managed to calm myself and it went well. MRI... chit scared again, but... it doesn't look nearly as scary as the black hole MRI haha. And it wasn't as scary either. Not nearly!! The assistant stayed in the room, as was agreed, and she held my hand during both MRIs. First was 20 mins of my head. I had chosen that, get the longest over with, hihi. Then 15 mins neck, which flew by! At some point I opened my eyes a wee bit for a split second. Didn't even freak out! The worst thing for me is getting up. The first time in between the 2 scans I almost got a dizzy spell again (whole room turning around you). THAT freaked me out! Another thing is my back started to seriously hurt, my shoulder too. But the MRI itself was okay! One cycle of sound was god awful, she said that was the worst one. And the good thing of this MRI machine... you got told each time how long the sound (aka noise) was going to be next! That way you have a sense of how much time has past. All in all I recommend this to everyone who's scared. Open MRI is a blessing compared to the closed one. It was well worth the hassle of the long trip, almost in Belgium ffs! So glad that it went well and wasn’t the ordeal you imagined it would be 
Me too!! And even though it wasn't that bad, I still hope I won't ever have to do it again.

Oh... thinking of this wonderful synchronicity!! On the way over to the MRI centre I called on Light beings, Archangels, and Unicorns to help me and keep me strong.
Then when I was nearly there, I past a town that had 3 unicorns on 3 roundabouts!!!! That sure as hell made me smile, hihi. This is a photo of it, not my photo, I can't do that whilst driving!

She stayed with me for a while, but I am unable to look after her so she has gone back to her own home. I’m driving up to visit her tomorrow for the weekend, and my eldest son is also going over to visit with my grandson. Happy Days!

She stayed with me for a while, but I am unable to look after her so she has gone back to her own home. I’m driving up to visit her tomorrow for the weekend, and my eldest son is also going over to visit with my grandson. Happy Days!

 Thank you Di. I am finding it hard to deal with as I’m the only child left as my brother passed away from cancer in 2012. But I’m looking forward to being with mum, my eldest son and grandson tomorrow

OT - thinking I've done enough for today! That mowing of too tall grass knocked the wind out of me. And now I want to eat Beef Chimichurri... Sod's law, hihi. Not sure if I'll do that today, although I really feel like it. Decisions decisions... |

I understand Trixie. I’m all that my mum has left too. My brother always took my mum under his wing but since he passed away I have to see to her now. All our relations live overseas. Like you, I don’t live near her and it’s been difficult due to our lockdowns as you know
