And why?
Not including your hometown/city, but what is the favourite place you've visited and what do you like about it? I love Berlin, I love the history of it, I like the architecture, the scenery around it, the fantastic transport system, I like how because of it's history it's almost 2 cities in 1 separated by a huge green space. I love the food, the beer, the culture, the football, the bridges, the parks! I visit at least once a year and never get tired of it. |

PARIS! I've spent a total of about a month there and always want to go back.

Cork. Because of the English market.
As for Germany, Nuremberg and Dresden are nice. |

Probably San Francisco. I once spent a week travelling
all over the city using the cable cars and buses, never enough time to see it all. Haight-Ashbury what a treat. Terrific night life. Scenic. Perpetual ;-) |

Gotta say Sydney Australia. I left a part of me there in the 70's. (a pair of glasses that fell over a cliff while horseback riding. )

Constantinople.
If you like modern world shopping as in Singapore etc, why not try oldest world charm, mixed with chaos and mayhem personified.? |

I can't say that there are any cities I've been to that I liked, and I've to a lot of the major cities in the US. I don't like cities.

I'm kinda partial to desolation.

I don't care for cities either.
Rural all the way. Hell, I don't even like large towns. To me, the urban lifestyle is insanity. For the most part, cities are ugly and dangerous. Small towns are inviting and friendly. Farms are the best. Why anyone would want to live stacked on top of your neighbors is beyond me? |

Amsterdam. Sydney was great! London. Singapore was also interesting.
The why to me is mostly the feel, the vibe. Although in London I HAD to see The Tower and Tower Bridge. The Tower because of its history, the legend of the ravens and seeing the ravens for myself. At the time Raven was my power animal so it meant a lot to me. Amsterdam just has a good, wonderful vibe! Singapore... all the different cultures! And it was more Western which after living in Jakarta for a while was quite a nice experience. A relief. Sydney... I loved the bit with the old first settler houses, and the feel of the city. It felt like home for some strange reason, even though it wasn't founded by the Dutch. I felt comfortable there. |

Where is Zeeland ? It's a province in the SW of The Netherlands. It's where the name "New Zealand" comes from. In that sense I live in Old Zeeland, haha. Difference being that Zeeland is a province only, not a country. |

Xabia, Spain (Old Port)
Quaint seaside town. Friendly people. Cafe Express has excellent spinach quiche. Royal Gurkha Cuisine has unparalleled food and service. Extremely safe. Fantastic public transit. Very walkable. |

I like London a lot, the right mixture of ancient and modern, multicultural, relatively quiet and well organized, nice open spaces. Then Copenhagen, Madrid, Prague...
