How do you all feel about scars? The flesh and blood kind. Not the emotional ones. Do they effect how you see someone? Would you base a long-term relationship on the extent of them? What about intimacy? Would there be intimacy issues because of them?

I should hope that a scar in the physical sense would not effect a relationship if you really connected. what kind of scar are we talking about, like sew the body back from two pieces scar?....lol. seriously, should not make the decision.

i have scars all over me and most of them i don't even remember how i got them.no big scars but that's not really the point.i don't see an issue with it

There is still a person behind those scars, it is up to you if you can see past them or not-if a person can't do that they most usually miss out on getting to know a great human being. How do I know of what I speak?? I have loved a burn victim for 8 years now,it was months after meeting him that he asked me "Why haven't you ever asked me about my scars??" It was because I felt the person behind them before I saw them--

I have a scar on the side of my face, my girlfriend told me it builds character...until i told her it was from a puppy. She told me I should have made up a story that wasn't so cute...hahaha
