This is ADORABLE! What medium did you use? Acrylics?
I've tried getting into painting myself, but I'm more into pencils, markers and inks- I make more comic-book-like sort of art.

Yes you got to find your own medium and style. I started out long time ago with (regular) pencil and portraits. Loved doing it, then wanted to expand. Did portraits in different kinds of pastels, not my thing. Charcoal too, great but I wanted something else, then got to painting.

I now paint in either water soluble oil or acrylics. The acrylics is of recent years and comes with a different style and feel.

This wolf is indeed acrylics :)

If you're into pencils, you may want to try aquarel pencils. REALLY nice to work with!!

Rotting Tree Trunk - 2010

This was located in the small woods I used to frequent, and the way it was rotting fascinated me!
It was a surprise to see all these skulls appear in the painting. I wasn't doing that, they just happened. Really odd considering the freaky experience I had in that woods almost next to that tree trunk.

The horse was a helluva challenge, something entirely different, and getting a horse right is quite something. I too love it!

Mingle's algorithm seems not to allows messages that are one way. Responds with, 'Please wait till recipient responds to your previous message.' Mingle adds that it is a shield to protect from spam.

My beloved Uluru, Australia, which I also painted from this photo within the ranger station area where I worked during the day (my photo).






Dinka girls, one you really have to see at a distance. Painted in 1986 when in Australia, living at Uluru, with very little supplies. A wee bit of paint, I think 1 brush and scrap paper.
I found the photo of these girls in a magazine, and funny enough I came across it again decades later, I think 2-3 yrs ago.




Aboriginal man, from a postcard, drawn in 1986 when living at Uluru, Australia. Again, only scrap paper and 1 pencil with the tiniest crumbs of eraser left on its end, which is not the easiest in the world for a portrait...
Apparently I had captured him so well that when I had it hanging up it shocked visiting Aboriginals. The man had passed away, but I didn't know that. I respectfully took it down.
