i think hammet is ok. mustaine on the other hand is awesome. yes metallica as a whole was awesome back in the day but hammet's playing style just doesn't do it for me.

here is my opinion for favorite bass player and you know where I am going if you know me or music but my vote goes to Kasim sultan he is one of the most requested standin players all over the music world and than man never misses his cues or notes he is almost flawless

Here are a few more: Flamenco style: Paco de Lucia, Juan Serrano, and Vicente Amigo Acoustic Style: Tommy Emmanuel Rock: Ronnie Montrose, Ted Nugent (Stranglehold) I think my other favorites are already on here somewhere, but if I take a few minutes, I could fill a few pages!

only two ppl mentioned yngwie and one person mentioned satriani. they the best guitar gods ive heard. oh petrucci from dream theater, he is at like hyper speed.
