This 22 month facade was kept alive through the 2018 election. The hopes of democrat's was that this investigation would continue until the 2020 election. Either way, you cut it, even though Trump was dumb about it, Russia interfered in our election. Through hook or crook, Trump cheated his way into office. Whether he knew it or not. But then that begs the question, Why did Russia want Trump in office? What is it they thought they could gain by him being there?

What a quagmire ... a statement demeaning others while claiming its the others that demean.

It doesn't matter if Trump is guilty of anything or not. They don't like him or his semi-conservative views and will fight him even if he's found completely innocent of everything. Trump is the exact opposite of how these lefty's look at life. I don't like it, but can understand them. We do need balance, if one extreme side gets to powerful, weird things start to happen. There are many examples of this seen on both sides.

I agree. There are people that will never except if nothing is tied directly to Trump, just like people don't accept nothing has been directly found on Hilary or Obama. And truth be told, people in power do have other people under them who do things FOR them. And the smart ones can have deniability of direct involvement this way. But an investigation is an investigation. We accept them and move on, or we don't. But people will always come to their own conclusions and theories on both sides.

As a mere Englishman, it does seem to me that supporters of the two American political parties each see the other as beyond the pale and all the 'facts' they give out are complete lies!

I don't really think Mueller said that there is nothing more to look for and that there were no crimes committed. As I understand it, I think he said that he didn't find evidence of collusion. But did the Russians influence, or attempt to influence, the vote in 2016? One side will say yes they did and the other side will say no they didn't.

Is there nobody who can really see what is going on, the good and the bad on both sides?

For this particular argument, only Charles actually provides quotes that make things clear to me. The 'other side' seems only to refute all he said, without attempting to discuss the actual facts of the matter. Why do you not quote reputable sources, as Charles does, to make your points? They may not have been interested in pursuing any MORE charges, but they definitely have sealed some of the MANY they already DID during this investigation, with many of them still on going, even though nothing AFTER that report date will be pursued.
