Why should we take you as the judge of THAT? For starters, nobody here saw Jesus at all.. let alone his so called "resurrection". Second of all, nobody can ever confirm that Jesus went to heaven. Nobody can confirm that heaven or your god even exists.

Alifetime commitment to a vegan or lactovegetarian diet is a prerequisite for initiation into the Quan Yin Method. Foods from plant sources and dairy products are permitted on this diet, but all other foods from animal sources including eggs should not be eaten. There are many reasons for this, but the most important comes from the First Precept, which tells us to refrain from taking the life of sentient beings, or Thou shalt not kill.

Not killing or otherwise harming other living creatures is of obvious benefit for them. Less obvious is the fact that refraining from harming others is equally advantageous for ourselves. Why? Because of the Law of Karma: As ye sow, so shall ye reap. When you kill, or cause< others to kill for you, in order to satisfy your desire for meat, you incur a karmic debt, and this debt must eventually be repaid.

However, God designed human beings to be predators (canine teeth, forward, stereoscopic vision, etc...).

We are really good at it.
We domesticate our food.
It doesn't matter if it is plant or animal.
We mass produce, then harvest.

You may be vegan, I may be omnivorous.
It really doesn't matter in today's world.
With today's technology, you can get the same nutrients from plants that I get from animals.
It's a preference.

I don't need any of that sort of thing. In my opinion it is man that created the 'God' concept, not the other way around. A bit like Santa Claus, it's quite a good way to teach kids how to behave and relate to other people, but just like Santa, you need to grow out of that thinking in order to become a mature adult.

It tells me you are not aware that there are female catholic priests.There are also many married catholic priests.

I'm pretty sure there are none in England and I'm sure it is still the rule in the Catholic Church that all priests, bishops and cardinals can only be male.

google tells me that priests are not allowed to marry. It is not however, a doctrinal matter. A recent exception has been to allow some men (not women!) who were already married priests in the Church of England to convert to Catholicism and remain a priest, but now in the eyes of the Catholic Church. This situation arose because the Church of England Synod agreed in 1991 to allow women to become priests in the Anglican Church. Some male priests could not accept that and turned to Rome, which of course does not allow women to be priests.

These things depend on the whim of the Pope as he has ultimate control. Thus a new Pope might decide it is fine for women to become Catholic priests. There would be no doctrinal problem with that. It would however leave a number of married Catholic, ex-Anglican, priests feeling rather foolish.

This is a small number and it remains policy in the Catholic Church that married men are not allowed to become priests. Only those few who are already priests in the Anglican Church and wish to convert to Catholicism because they don't like the idea of women priests are allowed to apply to become a priest in the Catholic Church.

Who would wish to belong to a Church that does not allow equality for women? No employer or government in the UK, or probably the USA also, would be allowed to have such restrictions. Can you imagine a company with a stated policy that only men can become directors of that company? They wouldn't get far!

Hi Tom, I hope your well. Just a brief message,( I cut and pasted this, I tried to message you, but could not) about something you may or may not know, and/or find quite interesting. Regarding your post about humans being carnivores, on the Buddhist chaps post. I saw this on a program called Q.I. the other day. It stands for quite interesting, I love that program, check it out. Anyway, apparently humans are 1 of only 3 species, who started off as either herbivore or carnivore and have evolved to be the other, so essentially switched. As in, we have evolved very long intestines, so we can get all of the nourishment out of veggies and stuff, which are apparently less nutritious. Thus apparently having meat hanging around in these long intestines is not good for us. Pandas have evolved the opposite way. They were carnivores, but are now herbivores, but there intestines have not evolved yet, and are short. That is why they are practically constantly eating, as they can get little nutrition from their diet. The 3rd species is apparently a certain type of squirrel, what they are and what they were, or info about their intestines, I don't know. Anyway, I'm not trying to turn you veggie, I'm not, though I sometimes consider it. I just literally thought you may find it, Q.I. all the best

We can't travel to the Kingdom of heaven because it's not yet in place. Kingdom means rulership and it's not a mind game, but a physical kingdom that will be established here on earth when Christ makes his 2nd coming. Hence the name Kingdom of Heaven, because Christ and 144K of righteous men are going to be the ruling body of that Kingdom.

Ah, I think I recognise the belief of Jehova's Witnesses here. As far as I know they are the only religion that talks about 144 thousand men going to heaven after the second coming. Sorry, women, looks like that doesn't include any of you. The JWs also have great expectations about the second coming. Several times they have predicted a date and they all go into hiding in the mountains, waiting for that day. Someone once asked a JW if they could have his house and car after the second coming as these would be of no use to anyone. Strangely, the JW said no. Can't imagine why, unless of course he wasn't truly convinced, just following what he was told to do.

That second coming didn't happen and when asked why not they muttered something about a mistake in their calculations. Something that has happened several times. Looks like they need a better calculator!

Can I ask, if they have now completed a new calculation? Is there now a new date to look forward to? And is so, may I please have your house and car, as it won't be any use to you after the coming?

I would like to put this date in my diary as I do know several people of the JW persuasion. I will take a bet that none are convinced sufficiently to say yes I can have anything I want. That's because they all know it just isn't going to happen, no matter what their leaders tell them.

Their purpose is to divide and concur and not to give you the true gospel, which none of them teach or practice. Faith without works is death, says the bible.

All religions are false, as you say. In my opinion, the Catholic Church in particular exists as a control mechanism, with threats of burning in hell if you don't do those things their priests tell you to do. It's not only religions that are false, it is the whole concept of a 'god' which was actually invented by man. Truly, there really is no such thing, it is all in the minds of those who 'believe'.

I read somewhere that the Quan Yin Meditation is actually a money scam and not a serious attempt at doing anything that might be useful to people. I'll have to check that out and get back here. Unless anyone wants to ask mr google?
